Our Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator started making a soft pinging noise and the evaporator fan was cycling on/off every 15-30 seconds. I talked with a tech from JustAnswers.com and he confirmed the control board was bad. The problem was the board is no longer generally available as a replacement. I found a board on eBay for almost $800 but the JustAnswers tech suggested I look for a repair facility. Thanks to Google I came across FixYourBoard and noticed they are in South Austin. I took the defective board to their shop and ordered expedite service for an additional $50 over the repair price of $220. I received a call later in the afternoon that the board was repaired. One impressive thing was, in addition to quickly fixing my problem, they also replaced several other components known to go bad and they gave an excellent warranty on their work. Thanks to JustAnswers.com and FixYourBoard I was able to have my refrigerator operational again within 24 hours of diagnosing the problem. Thanks to the guys at FixYourBoard. I will use them again for sure.

Fixyourboard.com's service and work are as good as it gets. The control board of my double convection ovens had been failing for some time. A replacement unit is no longer available. One option, $5000 double convection oven replacement. Better option: have the board repaired if possible. I removed the controller and sent it in with my check for $190. It seems that this is their all inclusive price for the service. Fixyourboard.com repaired what was wrong (primarily relays), and even replaced a few of the commonly problematic parts that hadn't already failed but likely would. The work was done within 3 days of their receipt of the controller and the now restored, working unit was returned FEDEX, all for $190. No muss, no fuss. Impressive. You won't find a better bargain anywhere.

I searched the Internet and found several sites. They appeared to be pretty good. A local repair store couldn't fix it but identified the main component that failed, which happened to be the entire electronics system board. I shipped it to them, they rcvd it, and contacted me 3 days later for the repair fee. I paid it, and rcvd it back 3 days later. My old double oven now works again !! They even replaced some components that are known to go bad. Also, they repaired some fractured soldering areas.

Our bake element failed the week before Thanksgiving. An appliance repair company informed us that the problem was the control board and that even though the range was only seven years old, the part was discontinued and no longer available. Our only apparent option was to replace the range at a cost of over $2000. I found FixYourBoard.com online and because they were members of the BBB decided to give them a chance. They provided email assistance to me to remove the control board. I shipped it to them and within hours of receiving the board had it repaired. They were cooperative with shipping the board back 2nd day air AM delivery (at my expense) so that my wife would be able to bake my son's birthday cake. It arrived back as promised and has been working like new in the fewdays since that time. They did exactly what they claimed they would do (including a 2 year warranty) and did it in an extremely timely and professional manner. At this time I could not be more pleased.

We were shopping for a new refrigerator to replace our Kitchenaid after the control board failed and we were told it was no longer available. By luck, we just happened to learn about Fix Your Board. Contacted them and was delighted to learn they would rebuild our board or provide a refurbished control board from their inventory. Long story short, about 4 days from contacting Fix Your Board, we had a refurbished board installed in our refrigerator. So far, it has worked perfectly and installing it was simple. Fix Your Board was courteous, professional, and very efficient. We would recommend them to anyone that needs an appliance control board rebuilt. Hugh & Tracy J

Great service, reasonably priced, fast turn-around. They fixed my GE oven control board with new parts for those that were defective AND those that are known to fail. They also tested the oven touch panel to see if it was working properly. (It wasn't.) I'm a fan and highly recommend Fix Your Board.

This company needs to get more advertising as it is SUPER... My house and several others on the street were hit buy a huge electrical surge (2 transformers blew and met at our houses!) It fried almost all appliances and lights, surge protectors etc My Slide in Oven had been working perfectly for me and the electronic "board" that tells the oven to turn on and what temp and the time and the timer etc, was totally blank and the cost of a new slide in Stove was around $1500.... Luckily as I was online looking for a cheaper stove etc I saw this company and read that they are engineers and can re do the circuit boards for 1/10 th the price and it comes with a 2 year guarantee!! they are easy to get in contact with and have simple ways to send items to be repaired!! and Yeah it is back quickly and working !! Mt electrician is so impressed he is sending them his generators board, he lives down the street and was hit too!

To whom it may concern, My mother and I wanted to thank you for your work well done. The circuit board and relay board which were fixed by the technicians have been reinstalled and are currently working. Hopefully they continue to do so for many more years. You kept a perfectly good oven out of the land fill. We will recommend your services should we hear of a similar situation. Thank you again, Patricia and Michael in Fenton, MO

I don't know if there is a control board they can't fix! They have fixed mine twice, then replaced it with a Ledgestone keypad which in turn failed prematurely(in the 2 yr warranty), which they quickly (and free of charge) replaced. I have repaired my double oven 3 times now via Fixyourboard for around $300 total. Compare that to a replacement oven ($1700 minimum) or buying new parts(if you can find them esp. for older ovens). Recommended without reservation, unless you want spend a lot of money on a new oven! They are the Lords of Control Board Repair! JTG Waco, TX

FixYourBoard.com fixed the computer for our KitchenAid double oven that the manufacturer had discontinued. It's been working perfectly for two months now and we are thrilled! A $140 board repair saved us a $3000 appliance replacement. And in addition to excellent work, a detailed report of analysis and repairs, and incredible turnaround time, their communication and service were friendly and professional. A thoroughly enjoyable experience all around. We're very glad to have found them.

I paid a Sears Home Repair technician $149 to tell me the control board was bad on my GE wall oven. Was told the part was available, but after 3 weeks I found out it was not to be found anywhere. Luckily, I googled and found FixYourBoard. They repaired my control board quickly and at a very reasonable price. My oven works perfectly again. I am so happy with this company and I want everyone to know. It's great that things can be fixed and we don't need to trash them and buy something new. Love it ! Thanks.

I searched the internet for companies that fix oven control boards. Of four companies I found, Fix Your Board seemed to be the best in terms of thoroughness of repair, including replacement of parts likely to go wrong in addition to parts that were already in need of replacement. They also seemed to have the best test equipment and have a 2 year warranty instead of 6 months as the others did. They also had the best reviews. I shipped my board on a Friday, got it back 8 days later, installed it in my oven and it works perfectly! It was a totally painless process and the oven works like new!

So I have a in-wall oven unit that started having a F1 error, and constantly beep. A new comparable oven was $1200-$2000. Last Monday, I removed the control circuit board and sent it to fixyourboard.com because GE doesn't make them anymore. I got it back today (Saturday), reinstalled it and all looks to be in good order now. Paid $186.19 for that service and am impressed with it thus far. Thought I'd share because I'm wary of sending things out, and paying for it in advance, but this time it proved to be well worth it.

Amazing, Our double oven control board went out 10 days before Christmas. I had family and friends coming for Christmas dinner. The thought of spending $3000 or more on new double oven was overwhelming. I found Fix your Board on the internet. Their Techzone let me know exactly that the issue was our board. Had one of my boards in their shop, sent it with quick shipping, and husband was able to install quickly with no issues. Sent back our old board and was credited very fast. A+++++ service and saved us literally thousands. What could of been a disastrous Christmas turned our perfect fine!

I admit I was wondering if I was "throwing good money after bad" as my AMANA oven control board didnt work and AMANA no longer sold the replacement. This meant buying a whole new expensive stove. But, I took the leap, took off the top of the stove, removed the control board and mailed it to Fix Your Board. Within I think a week they had fixed it and mailed it back to me. Worked perfectly. So, if you need a control board fixed--this company is great.

My Whirlpool double oven threw a code the day after Thanksgiving. It is 19 years old! I searched online for the error code and found that replacement control boards were not available. My search led me to FixYourBoard.com. They had excellent reviews so I said"Let's give it a try!" It was definitely less expensive than a new double oven! Communication with the staff was amazing. They sent me a number of videos demonstrating the removal of the board. Then they called me with the verdict which was a successful repair. Got everything installed and back in place tonight and......SUCESS!!!! I have a new oven! I couldn't be happier! Thank You FixYourBoard.com! You have given me the BEST Christmas present ever!!!

My 25 year old Jenn-Air oven developed and intermittent problem which, according to several sites, would require a new control panel to fix. Unfortunately, after about 3 hours of internet searches and phone calls, I discovered that the part is no longer available - ANYWHERE! I then found Fix Your Board on the internet as a possible place for repairing my control board. Not only did it look like they could repair my board for a reasonable price, the "tech zone" portion of the webpage explained how I might be able to fix the board myself by merely cleaning the oxidized contacts on the membrane keypad using a simple pencil eraser - and IT WORKED ...... A 5 minute free fix - it doesn't get any better than that - THANK YOU Fix Your Board!!!!!!!

GE built-in double oven JKP27WOP2 stopped working shortly after running a self-clean cycle. GE Service charged me $95 for a tech to come to the house and tell me the 20+ year old circuit board was a) likely damaged by the high heat clean cycle and b) part was NLA (no longer available) - nothing else he could do for me. He did write down the part number for me though so I went online, found Fix Your Board, removed the board myself and sent it in for repair. 2 weeks later I have the repaired board back, installed, and the ovens are both fully functional. I opted for shipping insurance both ways just because I don't think I could have found a replacement board if this one got lost in the mail. I also used my phone to take several photos of the wiring before I disconnected the board. Well worth the money to get the board repaired, thanks!

Very positive results. I was given a good idea what to expect and a price quote, when Fix diagnosed the board they found an additional issue and sent photos showing where the additional concern was. I had the option to do the additional repair, or not (chose to do it and they were right). The project was done on time and on budget with professional interactions, and the board works perfectly. My option on this repair was spending 8x more money for a new oven - my oven now works as new at a far, far better price. Not one bad thing to say, would recommend FixYourBoard to anyone.

Hooray! FixYourBoard.com turned around my GE Oven Board in 3 biz days. $196 flat rate repair was a bargain compared to the cost and trouble of researching and custom fitting a new oven. My dead board was no longer available as a replacement part from G.E., so a new oven was our Plan B. Repaired board perfectly restored oven operation. Excellent! Friendly Megan answered all my questions by phone. Generous 2-year warranty on their work, plus FYB went above & beyond! My repair ticket reads, "Replaced additional components that have shown to be failure prone as a preventative measure." Does repair service get any better than this?

We are selling my wife's father's house after he passed away. When the inspector went out for the buyer, he noted that the oven didn't work. We had never checked it, so we didn't know. Tried calling out repair service, but we couldn't find a model number on the oven. I took the control board out once I checked that the power going to it was there, and googled the part number on it. Found out it was discontinued and no one had an old new one. Ran across these guys, told them our problem. They said they could fix it. Sent it on a Monday, got it back on Wednesday. Installed it and it works. Not bad for a 21 year old built in oven. Saved us probably $1200 over a new one, if we could have found one that fit with no alterations!

Our range is a size that is no longer made, new ones are 1/2 inch wider and it is a drop in so, that room was not there unless we made cabinet and counter top modifications. I shipped the front panel of my range to Fix Your Board. Upon arrival they let me know there was shipping damage and repaired is at no additional cost. They rebuild my control board and replaced my touch pad. Every thing works great. They kept me informed at to the repair status. Helped me decide what repair work I needed to have done and completed the work the next day. I am very impressed. Jim J

So few companies do what they claim but Fix Your Board delivered. I had a main control board for an older oven/microwave unit that had failed. Finding a replacement would have been difficult and a whole new oven way too expensive. I found this company while searching in vain for someone who had a replacement board in stock. As they say, why toss your old board in the landfill when you can fix it for cheaper. They not only fixed the problem with the board but replaced several other components with a history of failure and did a full functionality test to verify its operation. I paid for express service and had the board repaired within hours and shipped back to me in just 2 days. Installed it myself and I now have a working appliance again thanks to Fix Your Board. If you have appliance issues let Fix Your Board do exactly what their name says. Highly recommended. K

My experience with FixYourBoard was very positive. I have a NLA board for a 13 year old oven that they fixed perfectly. I thought the price was quite reasonable, much less than a new board if it was available. Also, their warrenty is twice that of a new board, again if available. I was quoted a price before I shipped the board and this was the price I paid. Even if they had charged a different price than what I was quoted, I had the option of not paying it. They do all diagnosis before they ask for a credit card number. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

They saved me! My oven kept randomly shutting down and after changing the ignitor and thermostat with no luck I had a tech come out to take a look. I was told that it was the control board and that these boards are no longer available. The stove top still functioned well and I did not want to purchase a new oven now as we are planning to redo the kitchen and want to install wall ovens. After searching the WEB a bit I found these guys and decided to give it a try. I removed the board and sent it off to them and it was repaired and returned very quickly. Since putting the control board back in place our oven has been working great. Sooo glad there are still companies that do board level repairs as it is silly to scrap a full appliance because one tiny component has failed. One very happy customer who will definetly use fixyourboard.com again.

This company was a God send. My repairman could not source the control board for our Maytag electric double range oven. His advice was to buy a new oven. The control board repair was the only thing I needed. That's a 24" wall oven and there are very few choices in the marketplace. Since necessity is truly the mother of invention I started feverishly searching the web to find a repair option and that's when I stumbled on fixmyboard.com. Fantastic option although you do need half a brain to get your own control board removed. I surgically disconnected and labeled 10 wire connections. Then you just send them the board and Voila! ... perfect repair a week or so later. My advice to you do-it-yourself-ers is to purchase a package of wire labeling stickers at a hardware store before you remove the old board so that you can carefully label the wires for when you get the repaired board back to re-install. I'm a big time fan of this company and the essential service they provide. Thanks folks!

I thought we would have to purchase a new one for $450 but I am so happy that fixyourboard was able to get the job done for us. It was repaired with new parts and tested to ensure compliance and functioning capabilities. You made the process quick and efficient. Love these people! My local repair guy said the relays were bad and the ECB board was NG....as others have done - searched and it is no longer available and in searching came across FixYourBoard. I removed the old board (even figured out how to remove the connector to the touch pad) and shipped it off. Turn around was only a few days. Got it this morning and installed it - YEAH - I have my over back. Such nice people Would not hesitate to recommend them. In fact now I know about them, if anything else board related goes on anything else - they will be my first call.

I am sure they made some profit and I had a functioning oven again in less than 2 weeks - a true win/win situation. Communication was good both via email and phone to confirm payment. After having and using our oven for 11 years, the readout went blank and would not work. I just assumed that I could order a new control board and replace the old one. The internet search I did proved that the part was no longer made and I might be able to purchase the aftermarket recommendation for it and possibly get it to fit. At a cost of almost $400 for this part, I wasn't willing to take a chance. The last net search I did had a link to FixYourBoard.com, so I glanced at it with no expectations. Their page was very helpful and informative. I did call and talk to Megan on the phone prior to removing the board to confirm what I read on the site. I was pleased that the cost for my part was in fact cheaper that the listed cost. I sent the part on a Thursday and received it back the next Thursday. Pretty good considering a weekend and the USPS delivery process. I hope to never have to use them again, BUT I would not hesitate if necessary. Thanks for treating me in a fair manner and making my experience positve.

This is a great company. Very reputable. The board on my double wall oven no longer worked and I couldn't replace the part so I found this company online, contacted them, and shipped them the part. The woman I spoke with quoted me a reasonable price that included shipping the part back. She said it would take 4 days to assess and fix. After 4 days, I spoke with the company again. They evaluated the part and, although they determined the part was not repairable, they weren't going to charge me anything for looking at it. Even though it would have been nice to have been able to fix the part, the company did what they said by assessing it within 4 days and didn't charge me a thing. Trustworthy company.

We had the exact same situation as one of the other reviewers from Angie's List. Our counter depth KitchenAid built-in side by side refrigerator started making a chirping noise and the evaporator fan was cycling on and off every 15-30 seconds. It was still cooling but I knew it should not be cycling like that all the time. I did some research on the web and determined the problem was the Main Control Board which is no longer available as a replacement part from the manufacturer. I found a few used/rebuilt boards on ebay going for $800 or more (!). I also noticed ads for a rebuild only service where you send your board off and they repair it and send it back in a few days. Given the used boards are selling for $800 I was a little nervous about sending it off for repair in some distant location Thanks to Google I came across FixYourBoard and noticed they are located in Austin where we live. I took the defective board to their shop and ordered the expedited service for an additional $50 over the repair price of $220. I got a call from them later that same day telling me the board had been repaired and was ready to be picked up. I was really impressed that in addition to fixing the existing problem, they also replaced several other components which are known to go bad over time. They included a 2 year warranty on their work which is much longer than a replacement part would have carried (if I could have gotten one). I am very happy with their service and would not hesitate to use them again. As a side note (or really just a rant) I still can't believe that KitchenAid can just stop making parts available. Our fridge is 7 years old and I would think it should last for at least 10-15 years. Thank goodness for shops like this one that can help out with parts and repairs so I didn't have to spend a whole lot more $s.

Kenmore Elite Dual Fuel range had faulty control board. Part number 318010102. Appliance repair said nothing they could do for us as the control board was no longer manufactured by Kenmore so I sent it to Fixyourboard.com and in 4 days it was back in my range and I was baking cookies. The $160 repair (plus $70 for express shipping I chose to pay) was a huge savings over buying a new $2000 range. Awesome is the word! I have this Thermador dual fuel professional range that cost around $3500 17 years ago. The control board started malfunctioning, plus the lights were so dim you had to close the shutters to make the kitchen dim, peer into the display with your hands covering the sides of your eyes to guess what setting it was in. Of course the item is no longer available. Great! No one had a refurbished one in stock besides these guys. They sent me a perfectly functioning control board, I sent the faulty one and got a $100 core refund. No cooking downtime at all. Super! I really wanted to keep this range as it will last another 15 years. And $300 cost saved me a couple of thousand dollars. Great business, excellent communication, prompt courteous service. Thanks!

My 20-yr old GE double oven had been failing intermittently for a while. The lower oven ceased to function completely and the upper would occasionally stop with an F5 error. Finally, I could not set the temperature at all and considered replacing the ovens entirely (a very expensive proposition). When I inquired locally about repairs, I got various responses - all discouraging ("They don't make parts for that any more..." etc.). I found FixYourBoard.com by doing a Google search on the control board part number. After an inquiry by e-mail, I decided to give them a try. They were up front about the cost ($196) and told me that they had about a week backlog. I sent them the board and a check and the day they received the board, they called to tell me that it had arrived and to alert me to the possibility that the keypad also might be bad. If the keypad was bad I would have to replace that as well, so they asked if I wanted them to suspend work on the control board until I could check out the keypad (a service they offer for $40). I decided to take a chance on the keypad being OK and asked them to go ahead with the control board repair. Instead of the week+ I expected, the board was back in my hands in four days. I installed it last night and it works perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased and recommend them highly.

I was at my wits end when my control board went out on my expensive GE Profile stove. I had actually fixed the control board once, sanding the contact points on the relay switches, but a high/low voltage surge wiped the whole thing out. I called Sears and they couldn't fix it because the stove was too old. The local appliance repair man wanted $103 for a home visit with no guarantee that he could do the repair, and everywhere I looked on the web for a rebuilt control board lead to dead ends. I finally stumbled upon FixYourBoard.com, called them up, and they were very confident that they could fix my board and find a new cover for it to boot! It took me, at most, an hour to take out the old control board, package it up, and pop it in the mail. I was told that the turnaround time was approximately 10 days, but was pleasantly surprised to receive my rebuilt board back in one week. I installed it and it worked perfectly. I can't tell you how happy I am to have my stove fully functioning once again. The only alternative was to either buy a new stove, do without an oven, or get some kind of standalone oven and find a place to put it in our small house. I highly recommend FixYourBoard.com

These guys suprised me! I am an electronics maintenance expert, been repairing TVs & Radios for 35 years, Radars and Beacon equipment for 24 years. I have a very busy schedule and was unable to make the repairs on my #8303883 Control Board for my oven. I decided to give FixYourBoard.com a try. I had a dead board, no display, no error codes, only beeps. I KNEW what was wrong with my board, every component that was bad. They ultimately DID replace those transformers, transistors, resistor, and a diode or two. What i did not expect was this: They replaced several "known" bad components that may go bad in the future! Wow. Above & beyond normal service. The pricing was obvious... $150, no more, no less. As advertised. If you have ever gone a few days without an oven, and you are married (lol), you can appreciate the speediness of their service. You will pay a bit extra to have it returned quickly, but that is the value of their service. NO HOSTAGE, NO BULLYING. Personally, I would charge even more for unruly folks who demand too much. :) Thats just me. And they also have a TWO-YEAR WARRANTY on their craftsmanship....Priceless. I received my board back, in perfect working order. I received a printout of all 7 internal tests, all state "PASS". And indeed it does work. Soldering was professional, parts were either the originals, or suitable substitutes (which is a normal practice), and the wife was happy. She still thinks I repaired the whole thing because I usually do repair everything electronic in my home. Two thumbs up guys!

My wall oven unit is a dual convection type that we have had for over 17 years. Several years ago the control board went out and I was able to get a new one for about $250. The oven quit working, well the top oven to be exact, and I went looking for a replacement control board. They are out of production. I was looking at a $2700 replacement oven when I found this company. I sent the board down and they fixed it, replaced some other components that are prone to failure, fixed cracked solder joints and sent it back to me for $200 including shipping. I reinstalled the board and the oven works like new. One thing missing was a document to show what wires go back to what terminals on the board. Fortunately I had taken pictures and documented all the connections before removing the board, a good practice if you are going to do this because the technical documents including the wiring diagram that came with the oven unit was not complete and not completely accurate where it did show the wiring. I would recommend this company based on my experience.

These Techs were life-savers for me!!! They fixed a control board for my Oven that GE stopped making and there are no after-market manufacturers. Sears wanted over $500 for a board but told me it was repaired and came with a 60 day warranty. Fix Your Board was able to repair my board in 3-4 days for $164.00 and gave me a long warranty. They even fixed some additional items that they know have gone bad on other boards but were still working on my board. I just could have asked for any better service and the price was great compared to the alternatives. Service was friendly and loved the fact that they did a follow-up call. Board worked first time and has been working for 90 days since they repaired it. I shopped all over the net and found 2 outer repair sources but these guys were the best all-round. I am so glad I used there services!

When our 8-year-old Frigidaire oven stopped heating (bottom element wouldn't go on) and replacing the element didn't help, we deduced that the control board was malfunctioning. So we called the appliance store we got it from. The CR rep had the nerve to snort at my problem, declaring our oven "really old," and he said that they no longer made the control boards for that oven -- I would have to "call around" to get one from a "graveyard." (Seriously? Does Frigidaire expect only band-new ovens to require replacement parts? Because that's appalling!) One local repair shop confirmed that they could lay hands on a board and fix the oven for around $500. I was utterly horrified, but then I found "FixYourBoard.com" online. A call to them reassured me that they'd likely fix it for a mere fraction of the $500 the local dudes wanted. True to their word, they mailed our control board back to us in good time, faulty component replaced and a couple of other ones still working but "prone to failure" also replaced. Our oven is heating properly and we're giddy that we saved ourselves hundreds of dollars. Tip: Take pictures of your control board before you remove it -- makes it easier to reattach all the colored wires back properly later (and of course unplug your oven before tinkering with it). But, really, the whole thing was a cinch. I know nothing about electronics and I pulled the whole thing off easily. You may find it reassuring to watch videos of control board replacements on YouTube before you do it.

The board for my appliance ended up not being the problem, but the company did the analysis anyway, pointed me to a number of other sources and gladly accepted a couple of follow-on questions. My point of contact, Daniel, was smart, articulate and responsive. They pretty much refused to charge me even though they put in the time and effort. A real class operation.

This company saved me $7000. We have a high end 40" industrial oven. The control board died. No one sells or makes the board for this 10 year old appliance anymore. I found this awesome company and in about one week I recieved the restored board and it works fantastic. My wife was so happy to have her range operational. I give them five mega stars....*****....call them at 512-355-1108. Or search the web. They are on yelp and Google ....

Control panel on old electric Whirlpool range went out. Local Whirlpool store quoted $300.00 and 6 weeks to fix the board. Found FixYourBoard.com. Seven days including shipping time and $150.00 later my old range works like new. FixYourBoard.com is awesome! I've been telling everyone I see about the excellent service.

The control board on my 22 year old GE Profile Wall oven failed, and I was told by a GE technician that, unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done. "$80 please, unless you'd like to buy a new oven for $1500, in which case my visit is free". Umm...thanks, but no thanks. I started looking online for places to order a replacement board, but apparently replacement boards are just not available for such old ovens. Fortunately, I found these guys. They rebuilt my existing board for less than $200, including shipping. I was a little intimidated by the process of removing and re-installing the board myself. I'm not exactly handy. But after doing so, I would say that anyone that can put together an Ikea bookcase, or install a ram module in a PC has the skills to remove and re-install a rebuilt control board. Just be sure to turn off the power to your oven first. And also, take photos before removing the board, and use them to know which wires go back where. Nothing to it.. Thanks very much!

I have a Kitchenaid built in double oven that had problems several months ago. At the time the repairman from ABT told me the board was bad and no replacement board was available. He got the top oven working. When it failed completely I found fixyourboard.com online. I pulled out the board and sent it to fixyourboard. They repaired it and sent it back within a week. I replaced the board and both ovens work perfectly.

After giving a long hard consideration to sending my oven board off to an unknown outfit, I decided to give FixYourBoard.com a try; largely based on the prompt, courteous and complete corresepondences I received beforehand. I packaged and shipped my board on Monday April 28; USPS 2-Day Priority. It was rec'd by FixYourBoard on Wednesday. I received a call the next day (Thursday) indicating that the board had been repaired and was ready to ship back. I provided my credit card information and received the board 2 days later (Saturday). I re-installed it and it works absolutely perfectly. Based on my experience, I highly recomment FixYourBoard.com

Had the infamous E6 F2 code show up on the oven. After soon figuring out the fact that a replacement board couldn't be had for less than $400, I had to look for an alternative. Double ovens are not cheap, and being able to maintain one to keep it going is advantegous. I quickly found the company FixYourBoard and the services they offer and right away, sent the board out to them. Had the board out for about a week. It was shipped back with a briefing of the work performed on it, testing etc...For the price, it is totally worth it and would continue to do business them if the need does arise.

Had F1 error on double oven.. Called Fix Your Board and they thought they could repair the board. Sent the board down on a Wednesday and had it back in my hands by the next Monday. Reinstalled the repaired board and my ovens are up and running for a month now. Price quoted was $160 and the final bill was $190. Would I use them again? Yes. I would however suggest that you get a price range of what the repair will cost. I have found that people don't like $$$ surprises.

My Whirlpool built in oven would come on and go off after a few seconds. After a little research I decided to remove the control board and send it to fixyourboard. I got the board back within ten days and was back in business. The oven works great and the board was fixed at the $150 price as advertised.

The top oven of my GE double oven had not worked for years. I had diagnosed the problem to the control board; however, it is no longer manufactured. So, we limped along with one oven. I decided to do some research on line, thinking maybe I could purchase a used board somewhere. I came across FixYourBoard.com as a resource to repair my board. Further research yielded good reviews and the fact that the board would be warranted for two years. I shipped the board, they repaired it in one day and shipped it back. I had a perfectly functional oven in less than a week. Definitely recommend this company!

He called them on a Saturday night and got a recording, he received a phone call on Monday. We shipped the part on Friday and received the repaired board back on the next Friday. My husband installed and now the oven is working properly. Thanks for all your help.

This is the second time I have used FixYourBoard and both experiences were excellent. The boards were fixed in about two weeks and performed correctly when reinstalled. Pricing was as stated on the website. They were helpful with questions regarding diagnosing the problems. This is the way to go if you don't want to replace a perfectly good oven/stove just due to a small electronic glitch. I recommend them highly.

A couple of reminders to make the removal and reinstall safe and trouble free. First- turn off all power to the unit before disassembling it. Second- make a detailed diagram of the wiring connections including connector pin count, color, size and wire colors. Take close up pictures before removing the wires.

This company rocks! Whirlpool told me I would need to trash my 12 year old double oven because my control board was fried and the part was no longer available. And they were right...I searched everywhere but it was NLA for sure. I stumbled across this company in one of my searches and son of a gun --in three days my board was repaired...in my oven...and working perfectly. Instead of $1200 for a new oven I paid $120 for the repair. And they offer personal service - -- a super nice woman answered all my questions and delivered upon everything. Spread the word. They rock!

I sent the board to FixYourBoard.com and it was promptly repaired and returned. No problems. I'll use them again if I run into any other board issues on devices I have.

I shipped the board to them with an explanation and in about a week, they called me to advise that they located the problem in the power supply section and had it fixed. A couple of days later, I received the board and was able to install it back into the oven. It is now fully functional again. Definitely cheaper than buying a new or reconditioned board.

Top oven in 22 year old GE double wall oven stopped working. Called two techs who both said it was probably the control board, which was no longer available. Only alternative they offered was to replace the entire double oven. Cost would have been $2,000 +, not including remodeling the cabinet because our size wasn't made any longer, either.
I stumbled across Fix Your Board doing internet research about the problem. They quoted $196 and that's what I paid. Turnaround was less than 2 weeks. Oven works perfectly and their work carries a 2 year guarantee. I figure they saved me at least $1800. Best $196 I ever spent!

They did exactly for me what was advertised. I needed the control board repair for my GE Profile double oven. It had been periodically throwing errors and started beeping (usually at the most convenient time in the middle of the night :-)). Also, when using it, it would just shutdown right in the middle of a bake and I could not turn it back on. It eventually got so bad I had to turn the power off at the circuit breaker. The oven was unusable. I sent the board to FixYourBoard.com as instructed on their website. I opted for the option to give my credit card over the phone when the repair was complete (as opposed to sending a check along with the board). They called me about a week later to tell me the board was fixed. They charged $160 which was advertised by the website. This is 1/2 the cost of buying a new board. Keep in mind the prices will be different based on your board and the repairs needed so that might not be the cost for your board repair. I saw some complaints about repair costs that we higher than the website quoted. Just wanted to point out these folks seemed honest and did exactly for me what was expected and advertised. I received by board about 3 days after I paid for the repairs. Installed the board and I now have a working oven. I would have no hesitation recommending them to others for oven board repair.

Temp increase button on 15 Yr old Jenn-Air Dual Fuel Oven touch panel stopped working. Discontinued part and nowhere to get on the planet. Staring down $3,000 replacement of perfectly good stove otherwise for inability to raise oven temp above 350.

Called to ensure they could fix. Assured they could - $160 quote. Paid for appliance repair tech to come to house to remove/replace touch panel - $180 (total).

Shipped off to FixYouBoard via USPS flat rate priority - $7.

FixYourBoard folks sent completely refurbished unit in less than a week! Called me for authorization to charge the $160 they quoted on credit card. 2 Yr. warranty on unit! Buying new touchpanel part, if I could, would only have 1 yr warranty, at best.

Simply a great service that saved me a ton of $$$. Oven is as good as new.

Thank you!!

FixYourBoard.com is fantastic. I had been working with a local repair place to troubleshoot my error codes, when I pulled the board to take it in so they could look at it. I touched something I shouldn't have and heard a loud pop. When I called my local guy, they said they could not test the board. My board had been discontinued and I was out of luck.

I stumbled across FixYourBoard.com and heard they could test and probably fix my board. If not, there would be no charge. I sent my board in and before a week had passed, I had my rebuilt board in hand. I put it back in and have not had a problem since. This cost $160 plus postage to get it down to them versus at least $1,800 for a new oven. I think this is a great deal.

In one of the other posts, the reviewer felt taken advantage of because his board was discontinued. Well, mine was discontinued and I was charged a very fair $160.

I hope I never have to, but I would certainly use them again.

Thank you!!!!

My electric wall oven has the electronic control board problem that causes the bake element to not having heat. Some appliances repairman wanted me to buy a new wall oven. I did some research. I found on line 3 repairing businesses in the US and Canada. After talking with those businesses , I decided to send to FixYourBoard.com. First I was skeptical but I sent it anyway. It cost me $160 to repair it including returned shipping as well. After 5 days the control board returned in the box with well wrapped protection. I can not wait to install it . It took me about 30 minutes to install it because this is the first time to remove and install the control board and I have no knowledge of fixing this. It worked great. I was so excited. I would recommend this company to friends and families.

Searched the web and called every appliance repair store listed about a digital control board replacement part for my GE oven. Stumbled across this website about repairing my board. Through email exchange they indicated they could fix my problem. Nervous about shipping the Board and the money as requested, but everything worked out great. $160 and the repaired board works like a charm. The oven is kind of unique - 2 ovens so replacing would have been close to $2,000. A very good experience. Delivered everything they said they would and even did a little extra repair on the board on some pieces that were starting to wear.

Dacor PS230 double oven, F1 code, so I pulled the piezo beeper off the controller board myself to stop the beeping noise - no problems for a year, ovens worked fine. Then the relay circuit failed and first the top, then the bottom, oven started to fail to heat. Thanskgiving cooking was a b***h. Contacted Megan at FYB and received a clear and concise email stating that two relay boards and the controller would be fixed to like-new condition with a 2 year warranty for $220. Period / end of story / no hidden agendas. I pulled the boards (quite a saga, the cell phone pics of all the wires came in handy upon reinstall...) and sent them to FYB. Boards were fixed on time, usual additional components fixed etc... and same-day call returns on 2 occasions asking for updates. I inspected the boards upon return and found indeed, all 3 boards had been worked on as stated. They even replaced the piezo beeper I had uninstalled myself on the controller. The ovens worked immediately. I had a repeat F1 error that was related to the keypad, not the boards FYB had worked on, and they sent me an informative & helpful email telling me how to handle that. Not their fault. Amazingly, after cycling power, that F1 keypad error went away and stayed away... and now I'm cooking like the old days.

FYB is (a) fairly priced (b) provides outstanding customer service (c) knows how to deal with all sorts of people including OCD engineers like me (d) provides rapid turnaround and (e) can fix an incredible array of boards that are out of production. This is one of those times I went into the deal worried that all was not as it seemed and was proven, thankfully, completely wrong. FYB is the real thing and you can trust them to give you the straight scoop.

Thanks, Megan & the staff at FYB.

Over the summer the touchpad on my GE JT910B0A5BB 30" wall oven started to fail. By the end of October the only temperature that I could set it to was 444 because only the 4 worked. My local guy took a look and let me know that it was either the touchpad or the control board and he said I should replace both. Unfortunately the touch pad is no longer available and the control board runs $200+ or in other words buy a new oven.

I searched high and low for the touchpad and was coming to the conclusion that yes I would have to bite the big one and get a new oven.

Then I found FixYourBoard.com. I didn't see my model on their website so I shot them an email. I received a reply the same day letting me know they could likely help me. I sent them a description of my issue and they let me know about their fix, a picture of what it looked like and the cost and time frame.

I shipped the pad and board down to Texas and they called me and let me know it was received. They called to let me know they were beginning work on it. They called me to let me know it was done and ready to ship.

All I can say is wow! Great service! Great price! And I'm as good as new for a fraction of the cost of a new oven. As long as these guys are around I may never need to buy a new appliance! I told everyone I know about my experience including my local repair guy.

To Dan, Megan, and the rest of the crew, thanks for taking care of me, especially just before Thanksgiving! Kept me out of the doghouse and I saved a boatload of money!

My ~14 year-old Thermador oven's control relay board failed and the oven would not heat up. The board is no longer available from Thermador or any third-party firm. FixYourBoard repaired it to as-new condition, replacing failed components and other components most prone to failure, and gave it a 2-year warranty. Examining the returned board, I can say for sure that all four of the output power relays were replaced, even though I believe only one of them had actually failed. I've reinstalled the board and the oven is working like new. They did everything they promised, on-time, and at a very fair price. I did get a price quote before sending my board off and the quoted price is exactly what I paid. I am very satisfied and I recommend their service highly.

These guys have come through for me again. This is my third round of getting an appliance control board fixed here, two JennAir and now my GE double oven, which would not stay in the heating mode more than about 5 minutes, and then the timer and clock went wonky and couldn't be set.

They called me in about 3 days to confirm that my controller could be repaired, and gave me the price, but told me that the keypad on the control panel was also part of the problem. They quoted me on this additional work and sent me a number of photos to look over as the repair involved placing new keypads as an appliqué over the old panel. It took them about a week after I sent them the panel to do that repair, they called with the final amount and I received the fully assembled panel and controller two days after processing payment.

It doesn't look as nice as the original, but it should certainly be acceptable for most homeowners. The important point is that everything works the way it should, and I spent about $300 total as opposed to thousands for a new oven.

Fix Your Board is absolutely my first call on issues like this, and would recommend without hesitation. Their customer service is great.

Happy Wife, Happy Life.

My oven was operating intermittently, and at times I even used the BBQ as a backup to finish a meal. When I checked for a replacement board I found that my control board had been discontinued by Whirlpool; it was no longer available on line, or at the Parts Houses. I did find a refurbished board on Amazon.com for over $400.00, and that's when I began researching a source to repair my board.

Although the Payment and Shipping information on their website is pretty straight forward, and they even provided their telephone number "more than once", I called them to verify my understanding of the process and confirm pricing, mine was a deal, only $150.00. The Lady who I spoke with the phone was professional, friendly, and very helpful. She provided an estimated turn around time, "usually 3 days" once it's in the shop, mine was less. I put a check in the box with my board, shipped it to FYB.com, they fixed it, cashed my check, and shipped my board back. It can't get much simpler than that.

I mailed my board USPS priority mail from California on 1/11/14, it arrived at their shop in Texas on 1/13/14, and I had it back and installed it on 1/16/14, and the best part is my oven works, and my wife is HAPPY.

I highly recommend FixYourBoard, and use their services in the future if needed.

I had a problem with a self-inflicted board problem. It is a long story, but the control board ended up having serious issues. It is a Jenn-Air dual fuel $2000+ stove/double oven. (We will never buy another Jenn-Air product)
Our repair man quoted us $600 minimun to replace and install a new board. He suggested trying Fixyourboard first. I called in, got a price and sent the board in for repair. I received the board back in about 10 days. When I installed the board, it did not work. The nice people stayed with me and did some diagnostics over the phone and sent me a new connector to try. That did not work. They asked me to send the board back to them. It took several weeks to get the board back. However, all along the way, they kept me informed of the status and told me they were confident they could fix the board. They found more issues after I had powered it up within the stove. Their goal all along, was to save the board. We agreed on a price of $180 for the repair, with a 2 year warranty. They did not charge me anything additional for the 2nd attempt at fixing the board or for sending me the connector to try. When I received the board back the second time, everything worked perfectly and the repair is warrantied for 2 years.
I am extremely satisified and thankful for their effort. I know they had several hours into repairing my board, and know they could have called it quits and called for a new board replacement. They did not and ended up saving us several hundred dollars.
A big THANK YOU TO DANIEL AND MEGAN!!!

I sent in an oven circuit board for repair on Nov. 20th. It was repaired and returned on December 5th - but it wasn't my board! The company mixed up my order with an order in GA. I was told I would have my board on December 9th but it wasn't delivered until December 16th while I was out of town visiting family for the holidays. I was in constant contact with the company and they knew well in advance of my travel plans and holiday cooking time crunch. I didn't get my board back and installed in time to do any holiday baking/cooking and I couldn't even make Christmas dinner for my family. When I asked the company for a discount or allowance for their mix-up I was basically told it's not our problem. The only thing they offered was a discount on a future repair which is worthless as I will never use this company again. Their customer services is horrible and they don't care if you have a bad experienced due to their mistake. Their customer services feels that because the board was ultimately fixed and it was delivered by December 16th (in their eyes plenty of time for holiday cooking and baking) that I'm not entitled to any discount or restitution. The problem with this is that they knew I wasn't returning from out of town until December 21st and then had to hire someone to reinstall the board for me - on December 26th. When they realized they sent my board to GA they should have issued an over night shipping label (not 2 day priority that didn't get delivered for 10 days) and continued to monitor the shipment. The end result is yes, my board was repaired but yes, they made a mistake that was costly to me and they refuse to offer any restitution for their error. If the error wasn't made in the first place I would have had my board on December 5th and there would have been no issue with adding stress to my holidays!

Comment from Megan W. of FixYourBoard 1/6/2014
We strive to make every outcome successful (see the 100+ five star reviews Yelp chooses to filter. Click on "reviews not recommended" below ). In this instance a shipping error was made. We promptly corrected this mistake as soon as we became aware of it, making sure that, despite the holiday delays UPS/Fedex/USPS face at this time of year, the correct package was delivered well in advance of Christmas (tracking shows final delivery Dec 16th). We paid for the original shipping and the re-shipping, and stayed in contact with the customer through the entire process. The end result was still a successfully repaired control board, which saved the customer from having to replace her oven. We have used this experience to evaluate and make improvements to our shipping process in an effort to avoid this error in the future.

My Maytag wall oven CWE6800ACB crapped out during the self cleaning cycle. The control panel was blank and there was a clicking noise. This control board is no longer made or available. I did a search and found these guys on the net. I sent my board in and they fixed it and sent it back for 160.00. Oven came back to life but the cooling fan wasn't working. I thought another relay was bad so I sent it and the controller back to get fixed because the relay part is no longer available. They charged me 60.00 and found nothing wrong with the relay so I ended up replacing the fan motor and all is working great. The amazing thing is just today I got a check from fixyourboard refunding my $60.00 which I never expected. They are a good company and provide a great service for a niche business. Thanks Fixyourboard!

Whirlpool double oven stopped working just before Thanksgiving. Did a lot of internet searching and trying to find someone to come to my house and repair it. All symptoms led to control board. Found these guys on line, removed the board myself (and not the greatest handyman at all), got a very reasonable quote to fix and they did everything they said they would do for $150.00. Thought we were spending our Christmas money on a new oven but these guys saved us from that. Fully operational and one happy family here!

My 20 year old Dacor single oven started displaying an F1 error code after a bake cycle was completed. I lived with it for a while, but a few weeks after running the self-cleaning cycle, the oven completely stopped working; I could not select any of the bake modes. I ran the diagnostic tests, which sort of pointed to the relay board. I searched online for options (not wanting to buy a new oven for 2K), found and called FixYourBoard. I described the symptoms, and what diagnostics I had done. They were very helpful and didn't "talk down" to a non-professional. I sent them both the Oven Control (ERC) board and the relay board, and it was fixed and returned within a week as promised, with the cost ($220) as promised - excellent service in every way!

Well, where do I start?

Our 20 year old double oven started to act up, and in researching the likelihood of having to replace an old unit ($2500...ouch!), I came across the FixYourBoard.com website. The website itself is kind of plain, and what I read seemed to good to be true. But, considering the specter of having to spend thousands on a replacement, I decided to contact the company via email.

Meagan replied to my inquires right away, and when she didn't have the answer, I was promptly replied to by one of the technicians, Daniel. A couple of emails later, I had removed the oven control board and prepared to send it off. My wife and I agreed...what did we have to lose? As it turned out, we would have "lost" about $2300...minimum).

Well, about one week later, I received a call from Meagan who said the board was ready, and she was looking for a credit card number, so she could complete the transaction. Two relays were repaired, cracked solder joints were fixed, and preventative replacement of some components was also done. The cost? $196 as originally promised in the estimate..

A few days later, I received the board, which was well packaged along with the final test results. I promptly installed it, and the oven worked perfectly.

There's nothing really more to be said. I sent it, they fixed it, and now the oven works. I wouldn't expect less, and I could not ask for more.

Now, since I am a first time Yelper, I expect this review will get filtered due to Yelp's filtering software. And, I guess I can understand why this happens. But, if you find yourself staring at an oven replacement versus buying a new one...give this place a shot. I have not hesitated to tell coworkers and friends, and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We experienced an AC power failure during an oven self clean cycle. After manually releasing the locked oven door and cleaning the latch mechanism so it would not bind, the electronic control board remained inoperative. The F5 E0 error code was displayed and the oven lights were always on even though the upper and lower door switches worked correctly.

Fortunately, I discovered the FixYourBoard.com website. The information therein gave me confidence to give them a try. Although I could purchase a new electronic control board for $274, I decided to send my board in with a check for $160. They received my board on Thursday, December 12th. One week later I received the board back, repaired. I re-installed it, and the oven works like a charm!

The root causes identified were failures in temperature sensing, latch sensing, and latch drive circuits. Thank you all very much! We plan to have a merrier Christmas since our double oven works again.

The lights on our Jenn Air oven stopped working suddenly. I found FixYourBoard.com on the internet and gave them a call to confirm they could work on it. I talked to Megan and she confirmed they could work on the board and quoted me $130 to do the work which included return shipping. It took 11 days to get the board from Wisconsin to Texas and back to Wisconsin but 8 of those days it was in the hands of the US Postal Service. FixYourBoard had it for only 3 of those 11 days. When they had the work completed they called and got my credit card info and shipped it back to me that same day. I put it back in the oven and it works as good as new. A very good experience with this company and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

I had a timer/control board on a Kenmore oven go bad. I searched for a replacement board only to find none available. In the search process I came across Fixyourboard.com and called to find out if my board symptoms was fixable. They said they thought so and I sent it, within 2 days of receiving it they had fixed and upgraded the board for failure prone components. After I got it back and installed it works flawlessly. $160. vs $1800 for a new stove I can handle.

Incredibly fast service. I had a technician come out Tuesday, week before Thanksgiving, who diagnosed a bad control board on my 19 year old oven/micro combo. Somehow, I found FixYourBoard.com in a futile search for a replacement board. I sent them the bad board, overnight, that same day. They received it next day, Wednesday, repaired it, replaced potential problem parts, and sent it back to me same day. I received it 2 days later, installed it, and it works good as new! Thanksgiving dinner was baked to perfection in that 19 year old Magic Chef oven.
FixYourBoard.com is an awesome service and reasonably priced.

The comment from I.S. is ridiculous, he sounds like a "piece of work".

I had a GE range that was 19 years old and the electronic control board failed, however, GE no longer made this part. I found this company on the Internet and called them and sent them this board and just received after approximately one week and reinstalled and my GE range is now working. They informed me the cost would be $160 and this is the amount they charged my credit card, definitely well worth the cost because I would have had to replace this range. This would not have made a lot of sense because there was nothing else wrong with this range.

Shame on GE, I will consider other companies when it is time to replace any of my applicances!

My 19 year Kenmore oven died/F1 shutting off, about 6-7 months ago and b/c of not having money, I let it go. However Holidays were coming and so I called Sears. Long story short, and not so friendly "tech", I was told I need new oven. But I searched on web before I even called Sears so I knew my options. There were some parts still available and there was Fixyourboard.com.
Sears "technician" laughed at me. Charged me 80 bucks for nothing.
So I contacted Fixyourboard for info.
I am a female so I worried about taking things apart or even braking something.
But I took pictures and labeled all the wires and shipped my board out.
Week later I got it back. I put everything back together and my oven works!
196 dollars compare to new oven? I am so happy!
I work in the restaurant so I can tell many people about these guys!
And please don't be intimidated trying to take it apart.
If I can do it, everybody else can too.
Just don't forget to turn off main power to your appliance first!!!
Thank you Fixyourboard.com for perfect customer service and saving me money.

This company saved us $2,000 or more. The appliance man told us our GE oven needed a new control board, and the part was no longer available from GE. That is, we needed a new oven/microwave combo, price $2-3,000, unless we could find the part on the Internet. I searched for over a week, including a week of ridiculous runaround from [redacted], The part could not be found. I then found out about companies that repair controllers--apparently our repairman did not know about this option. You take out the board, send it to them, they fix it and send it back. Price--about the same as a new part, $150 plus shipping. Of the companies I called, FixYourBoard.com was by far the friendliest and most helpful over the phone. I mailed the board Friday, Tuesday they phoned, said it was fixed, and only then asked to be paid. Thursday, it arrived with a detailed report itemizing the repairs and tests that were done. We had to call our repairman again to get all the wires plugged in right--for $20! Now good as new, in less than a week! This company is the best I've ever seen!

Wonderful company filling a critical need!
Our built-in refrigerator was having problems, and the service technician said it was the electronic control board. The refrigerator is only 6 years old, but the part is no longer available from the manufacturer. eBay had some parts available for $700-$900 dollars, and replacing the refrigerator was going to cost at least $7k. Some online forums recommended contacting FixYourBoard to get the board repaired, so I pulled the board and shipped it off. For less than $250, they fixed the board and have our refrigerator running again!
They were very fast and friendly, and the turn-around time on the board was only a few days, including shipping.

I just want to say "Thank You". The service I received was very very impressive. I sent my board to FixYourBoard on Wednesday and they received it on Friday. My board was on my doorstep the following Saturday. Let's just say that I have been in my home 8 years and this is the second time the board failed. The first time I shelled out $375 for the part and $129 for installation. I just couldn't see doing that again. So I found this company and was a little skeptical but ****, what did I have to lose? Nothing! My board also was not listed, so I called and asked and I was quoted $150 with a 2 year warranty. I am very happy that I used them.

After the Whirlpool double oven giving the E6 F2 error and just not responding, it was time to fix or replace the oven. I had called a appliance repairman and he was going to charge in the neighborhood of $700 to repair it and gave no guarantee. After that I though it may just be better to replace the thing. Well after shopping around the new oven was going to run $1,700 + tax. After doing a little research on the web I stumbled upon FixYourBoard and the rest is history.

I sent my board off to them and had it back within a week's time. It's now installed and up and running again. Let's just say my wife has no excuse for not making her tasty sweet potato casserole for this Thanksgiving. :)

Total cost was $162 + my shipping cost of $9 to send it to them. That's a whole lot better than the other 2 alternatives + a 2 year warranty to boot! A big thank you to the FixYourBoard guys!!! I have already posted on my Facebook to let all my friends know as well. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!!

These guys rule! The bake element in my Kenmore Elite oven stopped working this past weekend. On Monday I called an appliance repairman to diagnose the problem. He figured out the bake relay was burned out and needed to be replaced. He suggested I send it to FixYourBoard. I looked them up online, saw it was $160 to repair and immediately took the board to the UPS store and had it shipped overnight. On the repair form I requested expedited repair and express shipping. On Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM I received a call from Max letting me know they received the board and it was repaired. The total for the repair, expedited handling and express return shipping was $240...much better than the $2400 I would have to spend on a new oven (our oven is a dual fuel 40 inch model). On Wednesday morning at 10:00 the board arrived out our house. I called my appliance guy, he showed up at noon and by 12:15 we were back in business.

Just to recap - sent to FYB on Monday, received back Wednesday. $240. Incredible workmanship, incredible service.

These guys are great. Very professional and responsive. They do what they say they'll do.

When the control board on my 13 year old oven died and I started calling repair guys, I realized was about to get gouged for a service call and probably a new board, if it was even available. It looked like I was gonna be out $500 or more.

To my wife's chagrin, I decied to try to fix it myself and give these guys a shot. I took out the board myself (not hard, just uncrewed and unplugged some stuff and kept careful note of what goes where so I could put it back together). I sent it to these guys and they easily diagnosed the problem, repaired and tested the board, and sent it back. Works like new.

Saved me more than $300. More importantly I feel much better having fixed it myself and avoided getting ripped off by a repair guy or the original manufacturer trying to squeeze some more cash from a helpless customer.

Delighted to have an alternative!

I have a Jenn-Air double oven (Convection also). In April, one day the top oven just would not work. The bottom oven worked fine. We found online, one of the largest Appliance parts supply places and they charged us $274.57 for a replacement part (Jenn-Air/Maytag #205984). They kept our money for over 4 months, my husband would call periodically and they said the part will be here any day? The part never came in; we asked for and received our money back in September. Note: I went online later and found where they had reduced the price of this part to approx. 190.00 and stated it was in stock. Great..we called back and said send us one at the reduced rate and of course, they said it was "out of stock at this time".

I called Jenn-Air and they stated that that part is no longer made and were surprised that a company would take our money to get a part that is no longer produced. So, next my husband found a "Repair" shop online, that Jenn-Air told me they use for their repairs. In early October, we sent the part to them and they called 2 weeks later and stated "they could not fix the part as something had been spilled on it"?? When my husband removed the part, there was nothing spilled on it?? They asked "should we send it back or throw it away?" Yikes, at least the bottom oven worked when we sent it to them. We had them send it back.

I started to research new ovens and realized it would cost over 5K to get a replacement set of ovens similar to ours. We do not have the money for that.

I went back online to research, in desperation, for another way to fix this problem. Again, we do not have the money to replace ovens and I am having Thanksgiving for 18 people!

I found and called FixYourBoard.com. I talked with Megan on 10-15-13 and she told me it would be 160.00 to fix the part. I told her I was desperate with Thanksgiving around the corner. She said turn around was 3-4 business days. I told my husband, we figured this was too good to be true with what we had gone thru for many months with the Appliance Parts Place and the reputable Repair Shop that many use, including Jenn-Air.

In late October, we shipped the part off to FixYourBoard.com. I called last week and got Megan again. She said "it's fixed and you are on our list to call today". What? How could that be? They never even took any money from us up front - as did the other Repair Shop and the Appliance Parts place????

I asked how much is it? Megan said it is $160.00. And that included shipping too!!
We received it this week and put it back in this morning. WOW! It actually works. We have not had a top oven for the better part of a year and have been without both ovens for a while. Note: Megan stated that it was the Relay Drive Circuit and that there would be a report in the package stating what they worked on. And there was - They also "replaced additional components that have shown to be failure prone as a preventative measure". Great!!

My husband, who is an engineer, stated that the part was packaged for shipping so well that he quite surprised. He said this should be mentioned in this review, as well.

This ordeal with these ovens was a nightmare. Did I mention that I am having Christmas too, for nearly 20 people. I didn't know what I was going to do to solve this problem. And, we certainly do not have thousands of dollars to purchase new ovens.

We appreciate Megan, for being so kind and helpful over the phone. And FixYourBoard.com saved us a great deal of money! I will recommend them to anyone and everyone for repairs! I just wish we would have found them earlier!

Thank you so much!

As an experienced repair technician I was very happy to find a company that would repair and return a board in a very short time. As a homeowner repairing my own oven, I am extremely happy with the service received. Although the price is a bit high for a 'repair' service, it sure beats the $400 that the manufacturer wanted for a new board. My only other comment would be, offer a longer warranty than the regular 2 years.

The relay on my Kitchen aid wall oven went kaput! The repair guy I had out to the house gave me a quote of $800 to fix since the entire control board needed to be replaced. While he was here, I was doing my own online research and found FixYourBoard.com. Decided right then and there I would be sending my control board to them and save myself $630. The price to ship my board was pretty high via UPS and it took a week to get there, but the turn around was great! One week after Fixyourboard received my board, I got a ship notification. 2 days later I had my board, my husband plugged it in and I've been baking in my working oven ever since!
Nothing but glowing recommendations from me for this company! I only wish I found them earlier when the control board on my treadmill died. It's now resting peacefully in the city dump. I miss it.

My GE oven would start to heat up and then cut itself off. It did it sporadically at first and eventually we could not get it to stay on. After finding out that no one offered a replacement board, we happened on to fixyourboard.
Knowing what I know now, I should have called and gotten an estimate, but I just packaged it up and mailed it off. About a week later, a nice young lady called to let me know The board was fixed and to get my credit card. I was expecting about 160 to be the cost, but I was very glad to get it for 190 as the option was a new stove which would have been about a $1000 more. A couple of days later, I received the board, installed it in about 10 minutes and have not had any problems.
This was a very easy fix and so easy that anyone could do it!

after our Kitchen aid built in fridge went belly up and we were informed that Kitchen Aid no longer made the board we needed (even tho the fridge is only 5 years old) we contacted FixYourBoard. After an initial mess up (our fault) they fixed our board and overnited it back to us. courteous, knowledgeable and fair priced. a real life saver as the other option was to replace the fridge for about 7grand

Totally worth it! They fixed the control board on my Jenn-Air double wall oven for $160, including postage, and it worked like a shot. Cheaper that a new control board, which is currently not even available in any case. Total turnaround was about 15 days, not bad from Seattle to Austin and return. Their phone support is good too; they help you make sure you're sending them the right part

Fix Your Board repaired our oven's circuit board when no one else could. We also had the dreaded F1 error code, heard they don't make that part anymore, and were encouraged to spend $6000 on a new double oven since ours was 20 years old. We found Fix Your Board on the Internet and thought it was worth a try. It took about 2 weeks ( we live in Washington State), husband hooked it up and we are back in business! The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable . Thank you Fix Your Board!

Had a F1 code on my Kenmore range. Checked it out on the internet and found FixYourBoard.com. The $160 estimate sounded much better than buying a new range. Followed their shipping instructions and within a week received a call that said unit was repaired. After credit card payment, received unit two days later. Installed and range works fine and wife is happy.

My oven didn't heat properly even after replacing the sensor. I wanted to buy a new oven but wifey wanted the 21 yr old GE oven to work. With a new board unavailable, I found more than one site that claims to fix the board, but this site looked more professional and responded to my e-mail promptly. My board was not listed so I asked what the cost was. I mailed the board on a Saturday and received it back the next Saturday. Works great. Happy wife makes a happy life.

After a lightning storm left my oven beeping an f1 error code, I did some research and decided to send my faulty board to FixYourBoard.com. I called ahead of time to tell them I was sending and get the low down. The lady on the phone told me how to send it and gave me my price. At $196, it was more reasonable than getting a new range. I sent the board off to them on a wednesday and got it back the next friday

Husband put it in for me and it worked perfectly.I think I actually squealed. They even fixed some things on the board that they didn't have to but noticed they were loose.
As for the guy who is really disgruntled, always get the price up front. And it sounds like the beep fiasco for him can be set as a function on his stove.

Fixyourboard is not a rip off. They are awesome. They will tell you how much they are going to charge you ahead of time. If you don't see your board on the list then call and ask. JUST ASK!

Bottom line: my **** works, it was less than buying new stove, and I got it fast. USE THEM. Be a smart consumer and get your pricing upfront.

I sent my Electrolux / Frigidaire wall oven board that quit working to FIXYOURBOARD for repair, along with a check for $160.00.
The refurbished board arrived in about 6 days.
I installed the board and set the bake function to check it. The bake element did not cycle with the broil element to heat quickly, only the broil element was functioning.
I called and Megan was very helpful, telling me that Daniel would call me back to help me diagnose the board issue, if it was the refurbished board.
This was a Friday, and when Daniel called me back, I did not have a Multimeter to test with, so I said I would purchase one and call back on Monday, which I did.
I gave this company the benefit of the doubt, because it would be foolish if they would just send the board without testing or even offer the 2 year warranty.
Daniel helped me diagnose that it was indeed my bake element and not the refurbished control board. It turned out that the wire to the bake element had burned the connector clear through.
Had it not been for Daniel, I would not have found this out. (I could have also had a fire) I spliced new wire to the bake element, and turned the breaker back on.
The control board worked perfectly! I am really glad that this company is able to refurbish boards. This wall oven was less than 10 years old, which is a sad testament to the appliance manufacturers.
Thanks to Daniel and Megan for their terrific customer service. I would recommend that you give it a try if you are able or want to fix your own appliances, instead of having to replace them every few years.
Thanks Megan & Daniel!

Cannot say enough good things about these guys. Found their website when my oven died. Quick turn around on the boards for my oven at half the price of new.

When I installed the refurbished boards the oven was still dead. My multimeter in hand, rep Daniel walked me through the hookup and we discovered where I'd mistakenly swapped a couple wired.

Note: TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU PULL IT APART.

Excellent service! Had I purchased new boards from a warehouse I never would have got it working on my own.

Delivered the service I expected. I found FixYourBoard.com on the web after researching an F2 E6 error for a Whirlpool Gold GBD307PDQ3 control board. Unfortunately, the control boards are no longer available on the market, so either repairing the board or a new oven were the options. After researching BBB, local reviews in Texas, and finding some trade references for appliance repair shops subcontracting them for board repair - figured it was safe for a DIY. Turn around time was fast - probably the slowest part was the mail, but board I sent in was properly tagged, diagnosed, repaired and returned in good condition. A relatively easy install to return the unit to working service at a fraction of the cost for a new unit. Cost was what they listed on the website ($150 for my model)- only thing I could have asked for was fedex like status on the board, but it was so quick that really didn't matter (8 calendar days included 'in the mail'). As with any DIY appliance repair, recommend as much detail as possible when describing the symptoms that lead to the failure. I appreciate the skill and value this company is providing. Keep up the great work, our green planet thanks you!

I thought I was going to have to shell out $1000 for a new stove. NOT ANYMORE!!! Sent this in 9 days ago and got it today. Installed the new board (which was VERY well packaged) and I'm cooking again! As quoted, $160 with a sheet that said what was wrong with it. I could certainly tell they did something, as I could see the new parts, and I have already let a local repair guy know about the service! Surely will be getting referral business from Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Thanks again for the VERY quick work and the VERY reasonable price for service!

When my refrigerator malfunctioned due to a circuit board issue, I was chagrined when I learned the part hasn't been made for two years now. Only choice was to have the board repaired. Other companies had an up to two week turnaround time, which is too long to be without a refrigerator. For a small expedite fee, FixYourBoard could repair and return the board the same day they receive it. What a great experience. All pricing was known up front with a phone call and you can't beat the quick response --mailed them the part Monday morning, and I had a working refrigerator Wednesday afternoon. Thank you.

The display on my double oven was going dim. Fixyourboard did the repair and the display worked but the touch panel went out. Fixyourboard looked at the touch panel and it was bad. I thought I could order it myself and a simple R&R. So I ordered a new one and it didn't work. I ordered a second panel and that one didn't work. Maybe it's my relays or panels or me ???? I took the panels, relays & display to Fixyourboard and had them look at it. Both panels tested bad but the repays were good. I was able to get my money back from the two places I had ordered the panels. I then had Fixyourboard order the panel and check everything, Display, Two relays, Panel and get it all working. $44 for all the diagnosis. They also replaced my ribbon cable at no charge.

I reinstalled both relays (lots or wires), display, touch panel and it all WORKS! Fixyourboard went out of their way on the diagnosis of the touch panels and making the whole unit work. I haven't seen this high level of service in a long time. If I have any other electronics that break I will be sure to take it to Fixyourboard.

Our oven broke. The burners worked but the oven would not get hot. We have an Amana ARTC 7511WW. We called for a local repairman and he charged us $58.50 and told us it was a faulty computer board and the part was no longer available.

Not to be discouraged, I did some searching and found FixYourBoard. I took the computer board out of the oven and sent it to them. They returned the computer board to me in three days as promised and charged me $40 less than what they quoted me.

I installed the computer board just now and am baking brownies.

Happy happy happy.

Fixyourboard.com repaired what was wrong (primarily relays), and even replaced a few of the commonly problematic parts that hadn't already failed. The work was done within 3 days of their receipt of the controller and the now restored, working unit was returned FEDEX, all for $190. No muss, no fuss. Impressive. You won't find a better bargain anywhere.

I am well pleased with the repair of the board of my GE slide-in oven. After showing a code that indicated the control board was bad, I contacted GE and searched on-line for another board. With the help of my son-in-law, we came across FixYourBoard and decided to give it a try. If it was repairable, that would be MUCH cheaper than a new oven. I shipped it to them on a Friday, they received it on Monday, and I got it back the following Saturday. The oven functions as it did when new and I couldn't ask for any faster service. I recommend their services for do-it-yourselfers and would use them again.

I have decades of experience in business management, information systems, and multiple industries as a business consultant at the Fortune corporate level. I have learned to look for quality results and how to reduce the risk results of an unknown vendor. When the top half of my dbl oven wouldn't work right anymore, I first looked at new dbl ovens and fell over at the prices. A cheap one was around $1600. So, I called a well known retailer for their $75 home service analysis. I was told $450-$485 and they would send my board to a company that would "try" to fix it and it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get it back. So I had all the motivation to research who was the most likely company out there to perform the same task but who had more confidence beyond the "try to fix it". Having been in Information Systems Mgmt, I expended a great deal of effort to narrow down which company appeared to be best suited for a one time solution that I could rely on. It was a difficult search at first in the sense of no error codes were being experienced but reading some reviews gave me the lingo to use for further searches for other vendors. I stopped looking for a few weeks (since the bottom half of the oven worked) and I started the search over and, sure enough, my conclusion was the same. I re-chose FixYourBoard.com. They advertised to go well beyond what all the others offered and the reviews looked real well overall (I searched the Internet for multiple sites of their reviews). I filtered out the reviews that weren't "focused". Nearly all the other vendors only offered to try to fix it. FixYourBoard had a positive attitude and I felt it would be rare if they couldn't fix it. They specifically mentioned they seek to repair known components that have a high failure rate. They also repaired fractured solder joints! Also, it appeared that this is all the company does. My board base price was listed so, I had the costing foundation in place already and anticipated the shipping back and tax to be added in. I also anticipated added costs, in case they discovered other multiple components on the board that might go beyond the typical repair, since component prices can vary greatly. I also knew that similar model boards can be remarkably different in costing due to model changes or if many components were going to be found "fried". They were professional in their handling of the entire process. I shipped it, went on vacation, rcvd the cost call while on vacation, paid it, and it arrived 3 days after that. I installed it back (I took pictures before removing the wires) and ran some tests. It's great to have all functionality back. My price was about $196.

When my 20-year old wall oven stopped working, a friend suggested I try FixYourBoard. The oven had been built into the wall in a convoluted way by a friend of my ex-husband; if I had had to replace it, I would have had to pay a carpenter to build it in as well as the cost of a new oven. I never would have dared try this service except that a handyman friend thought it was worth a try. I took a photo of the board before I removed it (after turning off the power) and labeled all the wires. I contacted Megan after I sent it in. She was very helpful and reassuring to a non-professional like me, and told me the price, which was $196. Based on the reviews, I had expected to pay $180, so this was close enough. I got the board back in 12 days, attached the wires with the help of my photo guide, turned the breaker back on and it worked! I highly recommend this service - it saved me at least $1000 and a lot of hassle.

This group of repair professionals were GREAT! No one likes to be told that replacement components are no longer available for their appliances which are still in good condition. Such was the case with my 20 year old Thermador oven. The suggestion was to replace the oven as the boards are no longer available; I had one chance to send the board(s) out to get them appraised and if possible repaired - Picked the right group with FixYourBoard. Unlike other reviews, the communication was immediate and the appraisal was to additionally send in another mating board to ensure success with the intermittent heating problem. The technician performing the service work called me personally and made suggestions (suspect relays) to eliminate variables with a 'do it once' attitude - costs were right in line with what was expected from the get-go. No surprises there; my total cost for TWO boards with relays: $160.
I am a knowledgeable, thorough and competent technician in my own right and I covered all bases after pulling this oven and replacing the thermostat/thermistor as well as cleaning up the poor primary electrical connections.
It was a pleasure to be partnering with a like minded service agency as FixYourBoard - the oven works perfectly and reliably as the day it was originally installed.
I have further, forwarded this outfit to my local appliance repair services for their consideration in board repair.

I just love this business. Our oven went at the end of May. My husband determined that our old Whirlpool oven needed a new control board. Not knowing where else to go, after getting the model number we went to Sears Parts and called to request a new control board. We were told that the board was no longer manufactered but there was a replacement board. We asked about ordering the board and was told it was restricted and had to have a licensed tech replace the board. Sears Parts Repair was backlogged so it was 2 weeks before the repairman could show up to tell us that the control board was damaged (DA!). He said that the board would need to be replaced and said he would be back in 10 days to repair.....and he didn't even take the damaged board with him. It cost us $75 for the house call and another $279 to get the board replaced. Ten days later, Sears Parts was calling us to say that they hadn't been able to find a board and said that they would keep us posted. Sears Parts called multiple times asking us to return the call and every time we called they couldn't tell us anything about when our oven would be fixed. By this time we had been without our oven for over a month. I called Sears Part and just cancelled the repair order all together.

Sorry for the long story but here is the good part....we found Fixyourboard.com after searching on the internet for our particular board model number. I called and asked the price for fixing the board and packaged the board along with a check for $162.38 ($150 for the board plus local sales tax) and sent it in on July 3rd. Our control board was diagnosed, the failed parts replaced and also they replaced parts on the board that were known to cause problems and gave us a 2 year warrenty. My control board was shipped back to me and I received it on July 10th. Had it not been for the 4th of July holiday, I am sure that my turnaround would have been 5 days. Our oven is working wonderfully and Fixyourboard.com made everything very easy.

Thank you so much Fixyourboard!

My Whirlpool oven which had worked fine until it recently unexpectedly quit. The display just died.

Having been an A/C and refrigeration mechanic for forty years I figured I could fix it some how. Well after checking for loose connections and finding the power was being supplied to the board, I realized the repaired was beyond my pay grade.
I started looking on the internet for a new board.

Prices for a new board started at over $300 and up to $450. I was almost ready to bite the bullet and order a new one when I discovered Fix Your Board.Com.
They had a easy to use web site and quickly I discovered my board along with the price list and found they would repair my board for $150. I downloaded their order form and shipped my board to them.

I tracked the shipment and they received it on June 25th. Two days later I received a call saying my board had been repaired and I gave them my credit card number and they shipped it back.
Do to the weekend my board arrived 5 days later along with my receipt and a detailed check list of what was repaired and a list of functions that were tested.
I reinstalled the board and everything seems to work as before.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone because they demonstrated to me that they know what they are doing and how to do it in a consumer friendly way.
They also provided me with a two year warranty.

After reading a previous review, I find the reviewer appears to be blaming FYB for problems he caused himself. To tell someone to go ahead and do a repair without first getting an estimate was foolish and then to complain about the cost is silly.

IA transformer failed on my oven and discovered the part was discontinued and no longer available ANYWHERE. Even the replacement part was discontinued!! OK, it's an older oven, but it was still working great and replacing it would cost $1600 or more.

With some searching I found FixYourBoard stated they were able to repair the part. The service was fast and the part works perfectly. I've got my oven back for a fraction of the cost of a new oven. Thank you FixYourBoard!

These folks are incredible! I was one step away from purchasing a new double oven after a control board failure (E6F2 error) and hearing from our reputable service repair man that the board unit is no longer manufactured by Whirlpool.

Fortunately, one last web search took me to Oak Hill Appliance, then to FixYourBoard. With their help, I was able to remove the board, get it to them, and two days later, re-install. All oven options now work perfectly. Thus, they have saved me several hundred dollars, and the $162.38 was extremely well-spent.

And to top it off, they even replaced some components that were ok, but were prone to failure. (Our oven was 12-years-old.) Good people to do those extra steps, for sure.

I cannot thank them enough for their service, and I recommend them very highly.

My Whirlpool double oven just up and quit! Right in the middle of making dinner one night. After a frantic online search for solutions I learned the control board was toast. A new one was listed on line for $300+...ouch.

Found FixYourBoard and BAM! Problem solved. I sent my board in and had it back and re-installed within a week! An economical and speedy solution (most sites showed the control board on back-order. Gee, I wonder if this is a frequent issue?)!

Will keep FYB's contact information close at hand for any future issues (I have a few Whirlpool products).

Sent my control board from Whirlpool double oven RBD275PDQ14 to FixYourBoard after problems with no display or function of my double oven.

The board was received by FYB on a Wednesday, fixed two days later on Friday and returned to me in Virginia on the following Monday all for $150. Installed the fixed board last night and both ovens now function perfectly. Couldn't be more happy with the speedy repair, super fast return shipment, and the satisfaction of not having to buy a new double oven.

FYB sent me a nice report of what they had to do to remedy the problem. Also received a nice phone call once my board was fixed - paying for the repair over the phone was effortless as well.

Real lifesavers. Woke one morning to 20 yr old GE range beeping and flashing an F1 error code. Ran into problems finding and scheduling a repair tech, so started looking online for part only to find it was discontinued and no one had a suitable replacement in stock. Came across FixYourBoard.com and decided to give them a try. Total cost of replacement was 190.00 which included expedited shipping back to me.

In the end I'm glad I had trouble scheduling a repair guy to come out since I probably would have ended up with a bill and recommendation to replace the appliance.

Our Kitchen Aid wall oven was getting intermittent errors with "random" displays. A power cycle at circuit breaker reset it, but problem was happening more and more often.

Found FixYourBoard. Sent email to find out how to disconnect circuit board; then replied promptly. Removed / packed / shipped. They called in less than 2 weeks that board was ready & I gave CC number. Price was what they quoted me on the phone ($190). They sent it back, we reinstalled, and happily baking away without any issues for several weeks.

Much cheaper than new oven or kitchen redo. So glad we found a company that I can highly recommend.

After spending a full day trying to find a replacement board for our oven and discovering that it was not avaliable I decided to try FixYourBoard. When we got the board back and it worked great I told my wife the cost of reparing the board was less than the sales tax for a new oven. Thank you FixYourBoard.

My GE Oven died after running a self clean cycle. This oven was manufactured in 1991. It has always worked well. After the clean cycle completed the next day I tried using the oven and it would start, then shut off. I attempted to get estimates from local appliance repair shops. They said parts are no longer available for an oven this old. I searched for a new ovens to find they started a $1300.00 ! After searching the web I found FixYourBoard. I thought why not ? I removed my controller for the oven and sent it following their shipping instructions. They found the problem, repaired it AND replaced other items that were prone to fail. I re-installed the controller and my oven works great ! This is probably the best money I have spent on a repair. Removing and replacing the controller was really easy (I know very little about electronics). It was still easy to take out and replace. I would HIGHLY recommend FixYourBoard. It is nice to know there is a REAL service organization out there. Thanks FixYourBoard !!

Fixyourboard.com saved us thousands of dollars repairing both out-of-production oven timer control and power relay boards on our dual fuel Thermador range with an integrated vent. For the very reasonable charge of $180, we now have a working range. (Another domestic company wanted $220 for each component, which I thought was okay, but I felt like my boards would get lost in the shuffle when I read all their disclaimers.) If the boards hadn't been fixable, we'd have been installing a new range along with a ventilation system, at minimum we were looking at $7000-10,000, likely involving major construction as a contractor replaced the remote fan blower or opened up the ceiling to install an overhead hood. Quick turnaround time, pleasant to deal with, rapid responses to emails, can't say enough good things about this company. Thank you, thank you, thank you, fixyourboard.

My double oven Dacor board was no longer produced, so I needed to have the board fixed or buy a new, very expensive oven. They suggested, in an email, that I send in the main board plus 2 other boards for the 2 ovens (4220.). I read online that it was usually the main board which caused my malfunction, so I asked what it would cost to fix just that main board, and the cost was $180, including shipping and a 2 year warranty. Just a few days later they called to say it was fixed and needed payment, which was the quoted price. We installed it tonight and during a quick test it seems to work perfectly. Time will tell, but all is a-ok for now. Very quick service, and it saved me hundreds of dollars on a new oven. KS Portland, OR

Great customer service, timely repair, and good value. I needed relays replaced on a GE Oven controller and they replaced the relays, a couple of capacitors and fixed some bad solder joints. They provided a 2 year warranty on the labor portion of the repair work. I recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

I had a question about the re connection of the board to my stove and they put me in touch with the technician that actually performed the repair and he talked me thru the re installation via a personal email to assure accuracy with a offer to call him if there were any further questions. Very satisfied and would use their service again if the occaision arose. Phil S.

Great Company with fantastic service. They saved us thousands. We priced a new double oven equal to what we had and it was around $1,700. Fix Your Board made the necessary repairs to our oven (board) for $150 plus the cost to ship it to them. Simply amazing. Our oven now operates like it was new. They also included a complete report of what they did and what they found. They even replaced components on the board that through their experience tended to go bad. The turn around time was only a couple days. Again, I can't say enough good things about these folks. They are EARNED my highest recommendation !!

I have to disagree somewhat with the uniformly glowing reviews for this company. First of all, five stars for service and speed. I sent in my GE JKP13 board that was fried (F-1 error code) and they fixed it and sent it back to me within a week or two. No complaints there. Fortunately, I carefully labeled and numbered all of the wires, and when I hooked the board back up and put everything back together the oven worked again! That's a great thing. The oven works again. It is sad that GE does not stand behind their products and provide affordable repair options and I'm glad that fixyourboard gave me a way to save the oven.

However, two issues leave me less than thrilled. I was expecting to pay about $160 (per the prices listed for the majority of boards on the company's website) but when they called to say that the board was fixed and they wanted my credit card information, the charge was $270. Hmmm. Why is that, I asked. Because the board is no longer made I was told. Okkkaaay. This company is expert at diagnosing bad components on a board and replacing dead components on the board, i.e., relays, capacitors, etc. Mostly relays. These are generic items. So what difference does it make if fixyourboard is replacing a burned out relay on a current board or an out of production board. It doesn't !!! Seems like a rip off to me. They charged me more - A LOT MORE because they know that a new board is not an option. NOT FAIR! RIP-OFF ALERT.

For some reason, prices are listed for most boards on the company website. No price was listed for my board even though it is a common GE board. I figured they just accidentally left it off and that the price would be $160 like the others listed. I guess I should have taken the time to call and discuss, but I saw no reason it should be any different.

Secondly, the oven timer used to beep at the end of its cycle, and then beep every 20 seconds or so thereafter in case the homeowner stepped outside or otherwise somehow did not hear the end of cycle beep. Now the oven beeps quickly three times at the end of the cycle and then is silent. That's a burned food and fire risk, and not a good thing. I can't justify taking the board out and sending it back for warranty repair so I am stuck with an imperfect repair that cost almost double what it should have cost.

GET YOUR PRICING UP-FRONT FROM THESE GUYS. AND BEWARE THEM TAKING YOU HOSTAGE ON AN OUT OF PRODUCTION BOARD EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE SIMPLY REPLACING ONE OR MORE GENERIC PARTS ON THE BOARD - NO DIFFERENT ON A CURRENT BOARD OR OUT OF PRODUCTION BOARD.

So five stars for the service level, five stars for giving me a way to fix rather than trash a perfectly good and attractive built-in oven that GE does not stand behind; one star for the bait-and-switch pricing revealed AFTER the repair was finished, and two stars for the board not working exactly the way it did before (end of cycle beeps).

Thanks.

Comment from Megan W. of FixYourBoard 6/4/2013
Thank you for the feedback. Our goal is always to create a successful outcome.

In response to what we do at Fix Your Board: Not only do we rebuild the control board, but we perform a thorough functional test on each board before it leaves our lab. This requires a significant up-front engineering investment on our part before we ever see revenue. The design has to be reverse-engineered, components have to be identified and sources of replacement parts located, test hardware is designed and built and a test program is written so that we can run our outgoing test on each unit. The control boards and components are not "generic", but are actually unique by manufacturer and often even by model. Tooling for a particular part-number requires a unique and often significant up-front cost on our side. Therefore, our pricing is unique by part number which reflects our cost in concert with our prediction of the volume of work a particular part will generate for us. Our investment is returned over a period of time based on the quantity of a particular part number we see. There are a lot of factors that go into our pricing, including complexity, amount of time and effort required to find obsolete components on some of the older boards, anticipated future volume, etc. We do not "rip-off" anyone. We did exactly what we said we would do at exactly the price we agreed upon. We saved you a large amount of money compared to replacing your oven.

The beeping you're experiencing now is the way the oven controller works (by design). This is a user interface function known as "NAG" mode and it can be programmed from the front panel to operate either of the ways described above. Often it is toggled by holding the "clear" button for 10 seconds, but this functionality varies between models. See your user manual for details. Also, you might consider using the "COOK TIME" function which shuts off the oven when the timer expires if you are concerned about burning your food.

We are disappointed that you would make these disparaging remarks given that we did not engage in any kind of "bait-and-switch" whatsoever, we did what we were contracted to do at the price we were contracted to do so; efficiently, quickly and with a successful outcome, and significant savings to you. Also, the end-of-cycle beeper works as it is supposed to.

We can't please everyone all of the time, however we do continue to try!

From the friendly staff at FixYourBoard.com.

First of all the only place where I found a human on the other side of the chord. Nice and efficient customer service. They absolutely kept what they promised. In about one week from when I shipped the board (Whirlpool double oven) I got it back fixed with tech report explaining the problem root cause indicating what parts were replaced (they replaced also some part that could have been deteriorated even though they did not fail yet). Price was reasonable (same or slightly less than others) and overall service excellent.

This is an amazing company. First there is Megan, who was wonderful in helping me decide if I should send in the control board and even arranged for them to repair some extra damage I did in removing it by replacing it.

Then the lab manager Daniel held my hand in email when the board went back in and my element still did not light up. Days and days of correspondence with the patience of a saint as we did additional troubleshooting to verify a good board ( which it was ;=)

Turns out the last tech who checked the element and declared the board dead, did not properly reattach the baking element and further refused to work on it or recheck the element. Suggested it was wiring and he did not want to deal with it.

I was so stressed and Daniel really helped me get through the whole thing. He should be a therapist! Had the tech checked that element, I would not have had to pay a new tech 170.00 to figure this out today.

But I am a happy camper! Great service, great people, very reasonable prices. A new range is 1700 - 2K. Without this company, I would have been out of luck several times over.

Shipping, pricing, turnaround and follow up were the best that one could ever ask for.

I am so pleased that now I have two ovens I can use. Six years ago I was told by a authentic Kenmore repair man that this oven could not be fixed...Parts no longer available...Well I don't give up that easy....i got tired of only one oven so I went searching on the net to find a way to replace the board or have it fixed. To tell the truth I was a little skeptical and doubted I would ever have an oven back.and to replace the unit would have cost me close to two grand. So to the technician who fixed my control board THANK YOU VERY MUCH . I now bake cookies in two ovens at once!!!!!

My GE oven had an issue where the bake and broil cycle were shutting off without warning. It was diagnosed as an issue with the control board. The oven is over 13 years old and GE did not carry the part anymore. I checked around with several places that carry GE spares and same story.
I found FixYourBoard on the internet. I sent them the faulty control board and got an extremely quick turnaround. They replaced some relays and other parts prone to failure. The repaired control board was installed back into the oven and now both the Bake and Broil cycle work just fine. Very pleased with the service levels and competence of FixYourBoard. Will use them again if the need arises and highly recommned them.

Came across this company when looking for someone to repair a control board for an old stove as an alternative to buying a replacement. The replacement was available but almost as expensive as a new stove. They went the extra step to contact me about sending the other control board since the one I sent didn't have a problem. Fast service and shipping. I had the board back and installed in a week. The oven and stove work like new. Thank you.

Our over 20 year old Kenmore downdraft range and oven has been saved thanks to this company. Our control clock was going for a while, but we lived with it until the bake element went. We called Sears and they said that the control clock was out of stock but we could get a rebuilt for $460.00. With my wife's encouragement, I removed it and it was repaired by FixYourBoard for $160. I then bought a new bake element but my stove still did not work. I did call Sears who diagnosed a problem with a secondary control board. They wanted over $365 to repair it with a 90 day warrranty. I sent the second board down to Austin and it was repaired for $100. If Sears would have fixed my range, it would have ran over $660 just for the parts I needed. Thanks to FixYourBoard, I only paid $260 and have a two year warranty.
Their staff is friendly, helpful and they have fast service. Thank you very much!

Found this company on line. Sent my board, heard from them maybe two days later. The fixed it (I sent it with the additional expedite fee) and sent it back. Installed the board in my oven, turned it on. It works great. My only recommendation to anyone is to get a quote from them before you send the board. While it was not cheap, it was good and fast. (Remember the engineering maxim: "Good, fast, cheap: pick any two"). I would use them again! And I appreciate their customer service rep "Megan" who was as sweet as any Texan I've ever met!

It's been a year since I got my oven (used) and was not able to use it. I was getting an error as soon as I would plug it in. I was considering to buy a new control board for it (since that what the error was showing where the problem is) but then found "FixYourBoard" web-site and decided to give it a try. I send them both, control and relay boards for testing and repair. For the half of the price that ONE board would cost they were able to fix both of them in a week time frame (including the shipping). I just installed the boards and it works perfectly! What I also liked that they were able to test the boards and to see if that's where the problem was. There is always a possibility that the error might not represent the true cause of the problem. I read about those cases on the web. Where people would replace both boards just to find out that they had an issue with a door latch (for example). So, if you are considering getting a new control or relay board for your oven, give those guys a chance before you do it. If there is nothing wrong with the board it won't cost you anything and if they can repair it it still would be cheaper.

I have a Whirlpool 24" built-in oven which stopped working. After calling a couple of repair shops and getting some estimates over the phone which seemed expensive, I started to research the internet. I found Fix Your Board and followed their instructions on how to remove the control board, sent it in and got it back within a week. Got a different error code this time but still didn't work. Called Megan at Fix Your Board and she said I now needed a new touch pad because sometimes when the control board goes bad, it also takes out the touch pad. Megan sent me a link on where to purchase and I received it the next day without paying extra for shipping. Everything now works and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Fix Your Board. Megan was very knowledgeable, polite, prompt with her responses and a pleasure to deal with. The whole deal cost me less than half of the estimates I received.

I have a 17 Year old DACOR double oven range. Mostly used the upper oven. The main oven sarted displaying an F1 error. After spending over $300 to a local appliance service company, (I think they replaced the element) it worked but beeped incessantly and had to be turned off at the breaker (in the basement). Very annoying and inconvenient. After some internet research, I stumbled across http://FixYourBoard.com and honestly, what they offered almost sounded too good to be true. After a few more months with no oven, I decided to give it a shot. I called jsut to clarify what parts I needed to send and the girl on the phone was SO helpful and reassuring I figured it was worth a try. I packed up all the circuit boards and within a week I got a call and they said it was good to go. A few days later the package arrived and I have to say, I held my breath, crossed my fingers and prepared myself for possible disappointment after we hooked everything back up. I pressed the button and.....it worked perfectly!

I shouted, "FINALLY!! A company that does what they say they can do and delivers as promised. Totally worth it and I would recommend them to anyone!

My refrigerator was "offline" for over a month while various professionals came to repair it. The last dude suggested I just buy a new refrigerator. In the end I decided to dust off my skills, read the KitchenAid Training manual. Did the formal diagnostics they suggested. I determined that the board was defective, meaning I wasted about 300 bucks on the previous lads. I then discovered the board was no longer supported.

I searched the web. I found FixYourBoard. In about a week I had my board repaired. A replacement that works perfectly.

Just wanted to thank you for saving my range! A few weeks ago I sent you my JennAir/Maytag oven control board which had totally stopped functioning. You repaired it quickly and returned it to me quickly and well-packaged. I've now had a chance to try out all the functions, and everything is working perfectly. Without your repair, I would be faced with replacing with another down-draft range ($$$) or converting the venting to updraft (kitchen cabinet disruption) paired with purchasing a less expensive range -- neither choice nearly as appealing as saving my old but wonderful range from the landfill due to your well-priced repair of the control board, so THANK YOU!

I have a Whirlpool Gold Double Oven (9 years old) that was showing an E6 error message in the display. After researching the internet regarding the error code I surmised that the electronic panel had gone bad. During my research I came across FixYourBoard and attempted to call them on a weekend. Unfortunately there was no answer. The following Monday I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from them asking me how they could help. I explained the error code (the display and oven went off when the oven was heating.) They said that the would diagnose the board and if they could not fix it they would return it to me. Otherwise they would repair it and call me when It was fixed. I sent it off and got it back in less than a week. I installed it turned on the oven. No display or oven issues. Terrific! Very professional company and staff that I would highly recommend.

I have a Whirlpool 24"oven that the Board went bad. After buying a "just like it" used oven to steal the board out, (which did not work) I found http://FixYourBoard.com on Ebay. They were a little more expensive than the other repair place, but gave a two year warranty on theri work. I sent the board in, and it was repaired and sent back very quiclky. However, the oven still did not work. I left a message and got a call back on the weekend from the owner. She was wonderful, and gave me some tips to try. I ended up purchasing a new panel from Sears, and still the oven would not operate correctly. I then ended up sending them both units together. They replace the ribbon connector at no charge, tested everything again and sent it back. The oven works perfect now.

Thank you FixYourBoard!!!! I own a Kitchen Aid built-in fridge, and on December 26th my board stopped, i.e. my fridge was no longer cooling. After a few repairman's visits, and a few calls to Whirlpool (they own KitchenAid) I was informed that my board was broken, and that the company that mades those boards was no longer in service as they went down in the Tsunami..... What they could do for us was a discount on a new built-in fridge?!! Before spending that kind of money, as my fridge was only 5 years old I luckily found your website. Was I ever in luck. The best $220 ever spent!!!!! It works! My fridge is back in business, and it only took about 4 days to repair my board. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Julie R. from Fort lauderdale

I am so happy with your work. Less thank a week after I sent the piece to you I got it back and it's working!!!! yAY!! I though I would have to by a new stove. Thank you thank you!!! I actually have your card to a co-worker who happens to have same problem as me. I will recommend your services to everyone!!

This firm is absolutely amazing!! They fixed the dim vacuum fluorescent display in the oven controller for our six year old 40" Frigidaire range. Like magic they could do this when the manufacturer told us there were no parts available and we would have to buy a new stove. FixYourBoard even went so far as to replace the failure prone control relays as a preventative. WOW & Thank you!

OMG, They fixed the board on my thermador. The board was no longer available and I was going to have to junk my oven. A new similar replacement was $5300. Quick turn around and they even replaced some trouble prone parts. Love these guys!!

I had trouble with the control panel on my whirlpool double ovens a few years back. Some research showed you can't buy a replacement. After a quick google search, I found Fix Your Board.com. The control panel was repaired and the oven back in working order. Two days before Christmas, my ovens went out again. This time, the transformer was bad and I noticed damage to the control board. I sent in the board after the holidays and received it back in about 10 days. I am so pleased with your service and happy to be a returning customer. Now, there will be cake.

Thanksgiving Day - Our 14 year old KitchenAid double oven decides, this is the day to stop working! It's been giving signs of errors messages, power failures, yet kept running. Fast forward to a couple days before Christmas. I finally took the control board out & shipped it off to FixYourBoard.com, after doing many hours of on-line searches for a replacement. Looking at the dates, I added an extra $50 for expedited service. The repaired board arrived back 4 days after, I sent it out. Considering it was 2 days USPS each way. They really did "Expedite the Repair." Plugged the board back in on Dec 22nd, lights all came on, and the error message. Great! &%$# ...1st thought. Looking up the error code on-line, the touch pad needed to be replaced, searching for the part number, I found the item in stock and could overnight ship. So I placed the order at 8pm. Dec 24th @noon Fedex arrives. Take apart the control board once again, replace the touch pad, plug it all together. FIXED I now proudly tell my wife, were not going out for dinner Christmas Eve, I’m COOKING! Thank You, Tom

FixYourBoard.com, your website was very helpful. I found that you are able to repair the Whirlpool oven controller board and have a test fixture to ensure that everything is working correctly before sending it back to me. That assurance won my business. You did a great job fixing the board's failed power circuit, and you went beyond what was required to make it work. You replaced other components that have been known to fail on other boards. This is great service and deserves the best recommendation. Regards, -Glenn

I had a great experience working with this company.

I need to take a moment and thank the crew at fix your board llc/ fixyourboard.com in Texas. My oven is re assembled, turned on and the temp is climbing to 450 deg. They did exactly what was promised to me. They had it repaired and on its way back to me within 24 hours. The longest part of the wait was the travel. all for $167.00 plus $20.00 express shipping to get it to them. I have my oven working again in just under two weeks. Bring on Thanksgiving I'm ready now! I will not hesitate to use this company again if the need presents itself. This was a far more sensible option then replacing the oven and I'm under warranty for two years. Oh yeah one more thing, screw you Sears service! And thank you for wasting over a week of my time. Whats that smell? Oh that's my Wife in the kitchen baking brownies! least I hope she will when she gets home. Thank you for the prompt, professional service and doing for me exactly what you stated you would do. I will without hesitation do business with this company in the future should the need present itself.

I would reccomend FixYourBoard.com to anyone and everyone. A highly inteligent company who knows what the appliance circuit board failures are, and can repair them, as opposed to having the manufacturer replace them, at a much higher cost. I will be keeping their business card in my wallet, in case this happens to any of my other appliances. I am impressed with their work and their price. The folks at this company "rock."

Here's what our customers are saying about us on Google+

Posted on our Google+ in May, 2015:

Super easy to fill out online shipping form. Promptly returned. Worked great. A bargain at twice the price especially when those crooks at Sears discontinued the motherboard and wanted to charge a service call to install a replacement board. Even when I installed the board on the wrong side of the mounting bracket and the buttons didn't fit, my email was returned within four hours with advice on the correct installation. This site should be the number one hit for google when looking for new circuit boards. Can't say enough good things.

Very pleased. Quick turnaround w/ easy payment via Paypal. Core issue not only repaired but preventative replacement of other components and updated solder joints. Clearly documented repair and test plan shared with end-user. Nobody likes wasting money and not replacing ovens that otherwise are functional is a great deal.

Thanks!

I removed my old board, numbering each of the wire connections, I sent it to Fixyourboard in Austin TX for repair & testing back in late June 2014, a few days later [first week of July] the same board with some new components came back to me, I reinstalled it, attaching the oven's wires to the same numbered points on the board and turned on the GE double Oven's breakers, it powered right up and has been working perfectly for the last 4+ months, even the clock in the keypad display keeps the correct time ! It was a good & lasting fix, well worth the $200.00 I spent.. GZ

FYB was my last hope and glad i tried them out. they even have videos and online troubleshooting. painless and rewarding. peter b., michigan city, ind.

Absolutely perfect! They turned around my oven control board in about 2 days plus transit time. They not only repaired the faulty component, but also replaced other components that are likely to fail. Their price quote was accurate and their customer service is excellent. When I made an error re-installing my board, I called them and the person who answered the phone told me where I most likely went wrong and offered to sell me a replacement control panel if I did permanent damage to a fragile ribbon cable. Thankfully, their advice has me up and running without additional cost or delay. I LOVE that a person who knows what they are doing picked up the phone and fixed me up right away. The cost to repair is less than half the cost of a new board and FixYourBoard's warranty is 2 years vs 30 days for new. My mother-in-law also used their service to repair an obsolete board that went kaput. She was equally as satisfied and the main reason why I looked to this company to repair rather than replace.

The control board in our oven went out a couple of weeks ago and after pricing a replacement double oven I came to the conclusion I would fix it. New boards cost upwards of $700 and reconditioned boards cost between $300 and $500. As I was looking for a better price I ran across a company in Texas called FixYourBoard.com. For $150 they claimed they would fix the board and return it to me so I decided to give them a try. Today the board was delivered back to me so after dinner I installed it. I am happy to report the repair was a success and our oven is back to working. I will definitely keep this company in mind.

Hi Megan, I'm a bit of a luddite and don't do any of the online posting stuff. However, feel free to quote me on your website as follows: "March 2015. Great service. My GE electric stove/oven has the first generation digital controls and over the 24 years I've used it, the read out has failed twice. I like the unit and everything else worked, except I couldn't see the time or temperature of the oven very well. So, instead of buying a new stove I researched ways of having the electronics repaired. The FixYourBoard staff quickly communicated needed information and answered my questions. They knew I needed to send in more than one circuit board to effect the repair (previous I only replaced one of the boards myself, but didn't realize there was another board that might be causing the problem). Repair cost were reasonable and now my electric stove is working again. They're 2 year guarantee shows they have confidence in their work and I highly recommend using their services! -- Kevin, Mendocino County, CA" Kevin

Good Morning! I didn't see a way to post a review on your website, and didn't want to use my full name online. My husband just put our repaired control board back in our oven, and I am nothing short of amazed. I am extremely grateful to not have to replace our $3,000+ oven because one (no longer available) component was broken. We had already been told by the power company that there was nothing else they could do to repair our oven. It's sad that appliances, even very expensive ones, are made to be disposable. Thank you for saving my Frigidaire oven from a landfill!! Stephanie and Joe

To Fixyourboard.com: I received the repaired circuit board for my for my GE slide-in range and it works perfectly. The component was obsolete as was the recommended replacement board. The board failed after a power failure and you have repaired it to a like new condition. The turn around time was as you stated and the price was very reasonable. The oven and clock work perfectly as designed and I want to thank you for a job well done. You will certainly receive my recommendation for friends and anyone needing services. Thank you again, Frank Gillest, TX.

BTW - here is the review I would post if I could do it without signing up.... I have a GE stove/oven. The electronic panel died after many years, but the stove/oven is in otherwise great condition and I was dismayed to find out that GE offers nothing... NADA in terms of help or service or parts or even sympathy. Basically GE says "tough luck, buy a new one". A local repair man didn't offer much more but he mentioned that repair services existed, so I did some on-line poking about and found FYB. After a brief call, I decided to try it. Removing the control module was easier than expected and it went to the post office that afternoon. The interaction with FYB was great and the repair was done quickly. In about 10 days I had the board back and 20 mins later the oven was working again. Many thanks to FYB for being there when GE wouldn't help or stand behind their products. Great service!

Fixyourboard, I found your website while surfing the internet for a repair solution to my GE double convection oven control board. The display had been working intermittently and some of the keys quit functioning. I searched some other websites that suggested replacing the keypad. After replacing the keypad the situation did not improve so I easily removed the main control board and sent it in for repair. The turn-around time was several days and I had the board back on my doorstep within one week. The online repair form was super simple and the estimated repair cost was exactly as stated. The kind and courteous person called me and took my credit card information and shipped the same day. The board was not only repaired but other components commonly prone to failure were also replaced. The 2 year warranty could not be matched by other repair facilities. My happy wife is baking once again. The cost to replace the oven would have been well over $3500 so the cost of the board repair ($150) was a welcomed relief. I would give 5 of 5 star rating to this company and highly recommend their services!. Feel free to post this to your comment board! Carl in Huntsville, AL

Megan / Max / All Others @ FixYourBoard.com Let me recap. After giving a long hard consideration to sending my oven board off to an unknown outfit (from my perspective), I decided to give you folks a try; largely based on the prompt, courteous and complete corresepondences I received from Megan. The internet can be a risky place to do business, right !!!! I packaged and shipped my board on Monday April 28; USPS 2-Day Priority. I tracked it and you received it on Wednesday @ 12:35 p.m. So far so good. To my complete surprise, I received a call from Max on Thursday, mid-afternoon, indicating that the board had been repaired and would ship as soon as I paid up. I provided my credit card information, asked that I be given a tracking number, etc. Max said it might arrive by Saturday (I'm thinking, yea right!!). If not, probably Monday. Again to my complete surprise, the board was delivered on Saturday. I re-installed it and it works absolutely perfectly. I just wanted to give you folks the most positive feedback possible and to say THANK YOU. My local repair service asked that I let them know how this worked out. Maybe they'll send some business your way.

I think of your company every time I press the on button on the oven. I'll be sure to tell my friends about the great option you offer.

Regards and God bless you and yours.

I don't know how to contact you guys other than this. But I put my repaired board in my dual oven and it works like a champ. You guys are great!!! My GE Monogram unit would have cost around $1,400 to replace. The GE repair guy came out and told me that I couldn't get a new part. And if I could it would cost me $500. Then he charged me $75 to give me the information. And this is after I called GE and asked them for repair information and part information. What a racket!! You guys are a lifesaver. THANK YOU!

I'd be willing to write up a great reference for you. I'm that pleased with the results.

Just a word of THANKS.

Just a few word to let you know how pleased we were with your company. True to your word you repaired the board. Our GE gas range was in pristine condition except the control board was shot and GE no longer supported that model. A repair tech from the company said we would have to purchase a new range and a new model of equal value would run around $1000.00 bucks.

I went on line calling lot of places only to be told my board was not available. It was getting late and I was resigned to buying a new range. One more call I told myself and I'd give up. Fix Your Board, now that's a weird name but I called anyway. I received a call next morning. You said you would fix my board and would give a two year guarantee. My wife said forget it, buy a new stove. I ignored her dire warnings and sent the part anyway.

It was returned quickly and best of all when the oven did not work it was my fault, I forgot to reconnect the the ribbon, once connected I was King of the Castle, Lord of the Manor and Master of all I Surveyed! My wife still orders me around but I don't care you made me look good.

Great Job, Great Company, keep up the good work. Rest assured I will recommend your company at every opportunity.

Posted by hvtech42 on Sun, Sep 14, 14 at 17:07 I would recommend sending the KA circuit board to a repair service like FixYourBoard.com. $150-200 and you'll be back up and running with an oven you like. They get consistently good reviews by both consumers and appliance technicians. I, like you have a 7 year old KA oven that works great, but I would probably not replace with a new one [...] If you send in the KA controller to FixYourBoard first, you don't really have anything to lose. Worst case scenario, they're unable to fix it, you don't have to pay them anything and you can just go buy a new oven like you were originally planning.

Thanks to Google, I found a company that repairs these boards and it turned out they are somewhat local. I put some dry ice in the refrigerator and freezer, pulled the control board and drove it to the repair facility. The company is FixYourBoard.com in Austin, TX. They charged $220 for the repair and offer a 2-year warranty. I paid a $50 expedite fee and the board was repaired same day. I highly recommend them. Apparently they repair a lot of these. As an aside and to cover my butt just in case, I called a local appliance repair company. They couldn't get anyone to me until Wed. The tech would have to troubleshoot the problem (wouldn't take my word for it) and if it was the board, they would have to try to find a replacement. If they couldn't find a replacement in 48 hours the tech would return and pull the board and they would send for service (2-4 weeks). Board repair plus three service calls would have been close to $700.

Here's another tasty and expeditious troubleshooting tip from our friends at FixYourBoard.com, offering top quality control board re-building, specializing in bringing NLA control boards back from the dead. Here's something to watch out for when troubleshooting GE wall ovens. Same trick may apply to other brands and models.

GE Wall Oven: Display says "BAKE" but relays won't engage. From our tech support conversation:
Tech Support: Is the door closed or open?
Tech: Closed.
.... long conversation with measurements etc ...
Tech Support: I'd like to verify the functionality of the plunger switch on the door. Can you locate it?
Tech: Yes, that's what I'm holding in to "close the door".
.... Ka-Ching! ... Nooo!!!
Tech Support: Please physically close the door and try again.
Tech: The oven is heating!
TIME SAVING TIP ABOUT GE WALL OVEN:
If the control board thinks the door is open it prevents the heating element relays from engaging.
This is completely determined by the state of the 2 micro-switches in the LATCH MECHANISM.
(To cook switch #2 (top) MUST BE CLOSED, switch #1 (bottom) MUST BE OPEN)
The oven controller DOES NOT SENSE the PLUNGER switch!
Remember this to save wild geese.

After replacing evaporator fan and having the main board rebuilt ... the new fan wouldn't run. Well it turns out that the new fan comes with a new wire harness BUT it only applies to certain models. It swaps some wires around and if you install it on the wrong model the evaporator fan doesn't get power!!! It looks just like the orignal (unless you look closely at the pinout). It seems the fan doesn't ship with the WP instruction sheet. Fan p/n 8201589, board p/n 2252159 and brothers, jumper harness p/n 2221077. This has got to have caused a lot of head bangin' ! ?? Here's the instruction sheet. Sorry it's a png. Site didn't let me attach the pdf.8201590.png

Like most people I don't praise a company when they do well. But this company saved me at least $1000. I have a GE Monogram that listed for around $1,300. I called GE and asked if I could get a parts list or a repair manual. No dice. Only option was to have a GE repairman come out and check it out. I had already torn apart the unit to check it out. All he did was check the model and serial number. Then he asked me what the code was flashing on the unit. I told him F3 and F1. He looked at his laptop and told me it was the control module and there was no way I could repair it and that the part was not available. He charged me $75 and left. I was furious!!!! I found fixyourboard.com and sent my control unit to them. They got it on a Monday and called me on a Tuesday. Unit fixed! $160 including delivery. The only other option I had was to buy a new double oven. THANK YOU!!! Please believe me I am not an affiliate of anyone that would profit from this company. This was a great experience.

The Mrs. really likes the current stove (heck I do too) so we decided to have the control board repaired by FixYourBoard.com. On Wed. Aug. 4th shipped the control board to FixYourBoard.com. On Mon. Aug. 9th it was received by FixYourBoard.com. On Tues. Aug. 10th I received a phone call from FixYourBoard.com that the repair was completed and a request for credit card info for billing $160 (or you can pay in advance by check or money order.) Control board shipped back on Aug. 10th and received here on Aug 12th. I reinstalled it and everything seems to be back to normal. All email was promptly answered and service was quick. We're a satisfied customer.

I get the repaired control board back today or tomorrow. I looked all over the internet, the country and locally for part new or used or repair place. Found:
1. a place in Miami, that said they could sell me a used control board if they found one or try to fix mine, & they wanted $300+ to do it, plus shipping and handling.... no guarantees
2. Fixyourboard.com diagnosis, repair was $130 + shipping to me. My ship cost, insured to them for the 3 parts was $11 with FedEx Ground.
Will final post after parts are re-installed.

Update: Tuesday July 20, 2010:
I re-installed the repaired control board, from Fixyourboard.com, part # 306230, which is NLA, and my new transformer. I cleaned both dryers inside and out of all lint build up- and both dryers ran perfectly, the timers on both dryers worked perfectly, and all touch pad buttons/controls worked fine, the dryer control board timers, both running down to the cool down mode on each dryer. The Maytag commercial double stacked dryers, model #: mdg27pcaaw work like brand new. The people at Fixyourboard.com are the best- Fast diagnosis and repair and turnaround on shipping the control board & transformer back to me. They rock! Thanks again!

Recently, I had the control panel of my wall oven repaired, rather than spend three times as much on a new part (which was difficult to find in stock) or twelve times as much for a new oven. By the way, I totally recommend FixYourBoard.com. They not only replaced the broken elements in the control panel, they replaced known failure-prone elements and resoldered the entire board. They also guaranteed the part for two years - that's twice as long as the manufacturer's guarantee.

Why replace that oven control if you can have it repaired for a faction of the price? That is what I asked myself when I read about FixYourBoard. The other day I had a chance to try there service when I had a Amana oven that would not heat. Bruce at FixYourBoard.com was very helpful and kept us updated as to when they received the board for repair and when it was being shipped back to us. I'm very happy with the service Bruce provided us at FixYourBoard.

I sent in a clock and relay board from a Amana ACS7270AB Range to Bruce at FixYourBoard.com to get repaired a few days ago. The problem with the range was that it Would Not Heat in Regular Bake Mode. Bruce was great in keeping me updated as to when they got the clock and when they shipped it back. The retail price on a new clock (part# 77001242) was $260.30 at the time of this post. Bruce at FixYourBoard.com was able to repair the original clock for much less. Repairing the old range control is a nice option to have and I would like to thank Bruce for providing this service, thanks!

This Amana ACS7270AB Range seem to work in convection bake, but not in the regular bake mode. When this oven is run in the convection bake mode it uses a third heating element that is located at the back of the oven. The complaint on this oven was that it did not heat when using the regular bake mode. The first thing I did was to unplug the oven and remove the bake element so I could ohm it out with my meter. The bake element was good so this lead me to believe that the problem was in the oven clock/control, part# 77001242. After doing a couple more checks with my voltage meter I determined that the problem was in fact with the oven control. Now I had two option to repair this oven. I could install a new control (Retail Price $269.39) or I could send the original control to FixYourBoard.com to be repaired. A couple years ago I ended up replacing this same oven control at full retail price and this time I was able to give my customer the option of getting the old oven control repaired at about half the price of a new one. The customer did decide to go ahead and repair there old oven control so I went ahead and shipped it to Bruce at FixYourBoard.com to get it repaired.

Fortunately for me I HAVE heard of FixYourBoard.com!!! And you'll be glad you did too. Here's my story that just occurred Thanksgiving 2009. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving 2009. All the family was coming to our house this year. My wife ran the self-clean mode and the result was a dead oven with error codes and a phone call to a local appliance technician. The service call was quoted at $65 plus an additional $50 since it was so close to the Thanksgiving (to work us in the schedule, yeah right). Over the phone I gave the technician the details of my problem and the model # of my oven. He said he thought it was the main control board and he would try to find me one. The technician called me back and said the part was "obsolete and unavailable". The technician recommended I contact GE for more help or just buy a new convection oven... (at around $1,500.00 on the low end). I found this to be an unbelievable response, but I appreciated his candor. As a professional firefighter I find that I am quite resourceful, so I set out to find this "obsolete" part on my own. After all, taking the oven apart and putting it back together would be a piece of cake and I figured I could save the $115 service call. What I found nearly took my breath. The technician was right. The part is obsolete and unavailable, if you're calling the local part houses, but in actuality the part can be found all over the Internet and shipped to your front door for almost 1/4 of the price of a new oven. I almost fainted!!! In steps Bruce, at FixYourBoard.com. After I got my breath back I dove into the Internet again looking for more technical information. Purely by accident I stumbled upon FixYourBoard.com. I read their website thoroughly. I was amazed at all the free technical data Bruce posts on his site. Using that data, I was able test other components of my oven to make sure this problem was not something simple that was being overlooked. I decided to look around on the Internet as well as locally to see if I could find someone at least a thousand miles closer than Bruce. After all Turkey Day was just 2 days away and "mama" was in an uproar. I could not locate another business within my state (North Carolina) or on the Internet that provides this type of repair service. I think that would make anyone skeptical about whether or not this is a scam. So, I decided to call the number listed on FixYourBaord.com. I left a message and Bruce called me back within minutes. After talking with Bruce I felt a lot less skeptical, so I sent him my control board... (all the way to Texas). Shipping was easy. They have a shipping tab on their main page that has all the information you'll need. I paid the shipping one way and sent a note telling Bruce to call me for my credit card # when my board was repaired. A few days later I got the call and I was told my board would be in the mail on the same day. When it arrived it came with a detailed note stating what components were repaired. In addition it mentioned that several working components were replaced due to anticipated failure in the future (I presume from the age of my board). I felt this type of preventative maintenance was well above my expectations. When I installed my repaired control board I ran it through each cooking mode to see how well and if it would come up to operating temperature. It worked like a new oven. Obviously if I am taking the time to write all this I want everyone to know Bruce has got the market cornered and he charges a fair price. It cost me $15 to ship my board plus Bruce's fee of $160 (the 160 includes return shipping). So, I have a total of $175 in this repair. The cost quoted for my service call was $115 plus the cost of the part (including S/H) was $475. That would have been $590. So, I saved $415 using Bruce's repair service. The bottom line.... sure, I was skeptical. Especially since I could not find this service anywhere other than on Bruce's website. But, if you're willing to trust my testimonial you'll find that FixYourBaord.com is technically savvy, quick to turn around a repair, honest and fair in their pricing and very friendly whenever you call. This is a repair that required 1 Phillips screwdriver, a few photos of the wiring configuration and less than 10 minutes each way to remove and install. Thanks Bruce! I can't help but sing your praises. I have 5 kids ages 6 - 15 and you just saved my wife and me a lot of money for Christmas presents. If you ever want to open a business on the east coast (Raleigh, NC) let me know. I only work 10 days per month at the fire station and I'll be retired in 5 years at age 48. For my second career, I would love to offer this type of money saving service to others like myself God bless you and your family and Merry Christmas!

The electronic control under the knob has failed, and none have been available since 11/2005. I have a very good resource for re-built oven controls at www.fixyourboard.com . These guys are experts at fixing most obsolete controls, and they give a [two] year guarantee, not the 90-day warranty the parts dealers do. Follow the instructions on their website to solve your problem. I trust them completely and use them myself for my customers.
